You're doing such an amazing job! I've definitely been there with the loss of motivation...it's why I regained the weight I lost a couple years ago. This time, I have almost hit that same weight, and I'm still going strong. I wish I could tell you the magic answer, but I'm at a loss as to why I'm sticking to it this time.…

A friend and I were just discussing radishes and spring onions. When I was growing up, my grandmother would clean the radishes and store them in a tupperware container of water. At dinner, we would sprinkle some salt on the top corner of our placemats, dip them, then eat them raw. I always assumed that was how everybody…

On days I know I went over, I still log it as best I can, but that's not always possible. On those days, I log what I can and put a note on my food page explaining what happened. For instance, this past Tuesday, I nibbled on cheesecake scraps and participated in a wine and cheese tasting. I have NO idea how to quantify…

I just tried almond milk for the first time yesterday, too! I've always been a 2% girl (full fat is just so thick feeling!), but I recently switched to skim. The problem is, I don't like the aftertaste/smell of cow's milk. I bought some unsweetened almond milk and tried it on my cereal, and all I can say is YUM! I actually…

I just use Hungry Jack Blueberry Wheat pancake mix. One serving is 1/3 cup (160 calories), and all you add to it is water. I usually do 2/3 cup and have an egg beaters omelet with it. They're sooo yummy! To control my obsession with butter and syrup, I measure a serving of sugar-free syrup in a small bowl; then I add a…

I have read so many threads about what frequency to do 30DS, and the answers are so varied. Some do 30 days straight, some do M-F, some do 2 days shred followed by 1 day cardio followed by 2 more days of shred followed by another day of cardio then a rest day, some do a mix of different levels or workouts... I did day 7 of…

It's reassuring to see so many others with smell triggers! People look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them this is a problem for me. There seems to be what I call a "base" scent in some perfumes and body washes that just kills me! I also have hormone-triggered migraines, but I can't take birth control, so my doctor put…

I just did my fifth day of L1, and like on the first day, I felt like puking. It's kicking me in the butt, but it will be worth it! I'm already noticing improvement in my form and somewhat more endurance. Then again, I've been having bad sinus pressure today, so maybe that didn't help my stomach any. I'm so proud of myself…

I feel your pain :frown: Migraines are so frustrating to deal with! I have no idea about them being blood sugar related because my low sugar headaches are not migraines. They're awful, but they're different. I take Elavil as a migraine preventative because many of mine are hormonal, but I have food triggers as well. The…

Everything I'm seeing says ~40 calories per cup/4oz, too. Of course, no two watermelons are created equal, but I can't imagine a "normal" watermelon containing that kind of calories! Maybe the insanely huge one I saw last year that took up half a truck tailgate, but that was freakishly large.

The ONLY deodorant I can use is Suave baby powder fresh invisible solid. Something is weird with my body chemistry, and all the others I have tried either don't work on me or have a scent that gives me a migraine. Bonus for me: it's cheap!

I have to admit, the apple idea appeals to me. Pair it with something really savory and I'd be in heaven!

I don't disagree with what you're saying at all. My point is that she reiterates how important form is, and it makes me very aware of it. But you're absolutely correct...nothing is as good as having someone who knows what they're doing watching your form and correcting it when necessary! Now get your butt over to my house…

One thing I really like about 30DS is that Jillian is constantly talking about correct form to avoid injuries. I've mostly had soreness in my quads...I sometimes have knee problems, but I haven't had any from this yet, but I try to be very concious of my movements. I do, however, want to reach through the screen and…

I always expect to get a weird look when I go grocery shopping because my husband eats total crap, and I eat much healthier. I end up buying grapes, pineapple, cantaloupe, berries, yogurt, and the like for myself. For him, there's Moon Pies, Nilla Wafers, and whatever other random unhealthy food he's currently obsessed…

I made an awesome omelet with jalapenos and garlic and herb marinated mushrooms. I suppose you could aways marinate your own if you're trying to eat completely clean :) God, that was a great omelet. I think I'll make another tomorrow

Last night was my day 2 of level 1. The first day was awful...I couldn't do much of some of it, and I felt like vomiting afterwards. The soreness yesterday wasn't too bad, so I decided to try it again, and I kept up better! I'm so glad I tried again...in fact, I'm excited to do my third day now. One thing that has helped…

That's awful! I'm glad I never heard a teacher make fun of me...with the temper I had back then, it would've been ugly. Thank heavens we have this supportive community at mfp!

I disagree! I usually prepare mine in the microwave. The trick is like you said...don't overcook it. AND I usually use frozen florets. I pour some in a bowl, add a dab of butter, some salt, and some garlic powder, then nuke it for a bit. I love it! My mom always got that boxed frozen broccoli and cooked the crap…

Agreed! To quote Phoebe from Friends, "This must be what evil tastes like!"

All I've given up is half an hour of reruns I've seen a million times on Adult Swim! I've also added a nice, hot, relaxing bath to my day. I'm just trying to decide if my body is up to attempting day 2 after working that double I mentioned. I'm not nearly as sore as I expected, though...it's weird because I would hit…

I'm using American sizing, but if the number sounds better in a foreign size, sign me up!

I just did day one, and I feel like I'm going to puke...no exaggeration. I want to hydrate so badly, but I'm afraid it won't stay down. It was probably stupid to try this the day before I have to work a double, too...lol. Hope we both get to feeling better soon!

There are just too many! Airplane! Monty Python, Serenity, Half Baked...but from my all-time favorite movie, Shaun of the Dead: Shaun: [about Ed] I've known him since primary school, you know? I like having him around, he's a laugh. Pete: What, because he can impersonate an orangutan? *kitten*-a-doodle-doo! Shaun: Oh,…

My birthday is in a couple weeks, and my husband recently asked me what I would like. I immediately started researching heart rate monitors...lol! I haven't completely decided on the one I want, but I'm super-excited about it. I have no idea what to recommend for you, though, so happy birthday!

From my experience, if you stick with this then you should have no problem wearing a 16 by the end of summer; in fact, it will probably happen much sooner! And let's see, Christmas is 8 months away..I *think* it would be possible to be in a 12 by then, but you have to fully commit yourself to changing your eating and…

I absolutely agree with you...at least in my head. But it was still enough to plant that seed of doubt. "What if he thinks I'm ugly? Did he marry me because he didn't think he'd have to worry about me cheating?" I hate feeling like this, though, so I'm going to keep reminding myself of how he probably meant it rather than…

I second this! I'm glad you're here where you can see people supporting one another. Some people just make my blood boil. Keep up the good work, dear!

Okay, hubby just did it. I know he didn't mean it the way it sounded, but if he is insecure then why should he bring me down, too? He came up to me while I was exercising and said, "You aren't going to get all good-looking and leave me, are you?" I responded with, "No. Are you saying I'm ugly now?" Him: "No, I just mean…

OUCH! I didn't notice the bruises until I knelt on a seat at work and something felt wrong. But skinned elbows? That's a different level of pain!
