To lose weight you need a calorie deficit, for exercise try Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred is a great program to start. Her 3/2/1 strength, cardio & abs is perfect to do at home and best of all it's only 30 minutes. Good luck.

How long is this program?

Thanks for this ;flowerforyou. When I hit my 'prego weight' in April I cleaned up my logging (as much as humanly possible, log the good, the bad and the ungly), double checked/triple checked my cals/macros. Other than recycling the same 2.5 lbs and a *slight* decrease in measurements the change is not enough to justify the…

I'm with you! I don't have a sweet tooth, also tried the unflavored, and didn't care for any. Finally found SynTrax Nectar Naturals Whey Protein Isolate, not sure how "healthy" it is but I like it. I tried the Peach (my fav), Fuzzy Navel (not bad) and Lemonade (light lemon flavor, I enjoy more of a sour/tart lemon flavor).

June Goal: -Lose weight! Still struggling with weight…my entire focus this month! Time to make a doct apt :'(

May Goal Reassessment: -Average of 2.5x a week, need to up that. -Done (remembered this month…). -Better this month, room for improvement. -Didn’t happen. -Wall solid as steel! -A LOT better!

Some of those require gym equipment..but some I can do at home. Do you limit the number of isolation exercises in one routine? I’m sure some combinations work better together, do you combine the exercises? Would you attach them to Workout A vs Workout B? Having difficulty formatting my question….I have *very* small…

Other than adding reps to sets, does anyone add any shoulder isolation work to their routines?

Continue with the calorie deficit for weight loss - http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1161603/so-you-want-a-nice-stomach/p1, and here's a good place to start for lifting - http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1308750/so-you-want-to-start-lifting-great/p1

Any program that includes strength training, Jillian Michaels has several...30 Day Shred and Body Revolution are my favorite. ChaLEAN Extreme is another fav. A good program will have a minimum 3x of strength, some cardio and stretching.

ChaLEAN Extreme trains with dumbbells 3x a week, and interval/cardio/stretch/ab for the other days. It's a great program as a whole but i mostly use it for the three strength training work outs. I've never heard of a lifting DVD program...there's books, I have the Starting Strength book which is extremely informative,…

Checkin as of May 16 Scale Weight: -2 BF%: -1% (using JeFit) Waist: -.5 Hips: +.5 Stomach: -1 Thigh: 0 FINALLY!!!HALLELUJAH!!! My first decrease in MONTHS!!! Had to double check my hips but realized that my butt lifted/rounded which caused the increase, lol! My TDEE must be lower than the calculators estimate, needless to…

It's amazing how *lil* progress/results can give someone renewed confidence! It doesn't take much, but after 5 straight months, it's enough for that 'cry-yes-fist pump' moment!
-
No, do not eat back your exercise calories. I follow TDEE - 15% deficit...that seems to work best for me...
-
My fav JM is JMBR! ...to me it's a 90 day version of her 30 Day Shred, lol. The most complimentary/follow-up program to JMBR is CLX, rotate the 2 and its a huge win win. Edit to add: Congrats!!! Just saw you're results. Great work!

@krokador, :o all I can say is - WOW!

Highly recommend this post too - http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1161603/so-you-want-a-nice-stomach/p1 The women is *awesome* and will answer any of your questions.

It depends on which calculator you are following, TDEE (scooby calculator already *includes* exercise calories) or MFP (does *not* include exercise calories, that why you eat them back)?
