  • I've been doing that for almost a year. I've put both vanilla and chocolate protein powder and it's very yummy. You can check out my diary to see the breakdown of nutrients. I have to have a high protein diet and it's a great way to get a lot in one meal.
  • Another issue is that we are using antibacterial soaps, lotions, hand sanitizers much more then before. Those chemicals kill both good and bad germs and causes our bodies to not be so resistant to certain things. Therefore whereas before our bodies could fight off the allergy so to speak it can't anymore. I don't have time…
  • I also have PCOS and find myself successful with less then 120 grams of carbs per day. I also make sure I'm under 40% of my daily calories from carbs. I also have no sugar at all as I also have insulin resistance and sugar isn't good for me. One thing I found is that when I lift weights I end up building a lot of muscle…
  • I am on a low calorie, high protein diet (yes supervised by a doctor) and I find that I have a lot more energy. With everything that I have read and been told I don't actually consider myself on a high protein diet. I just try to stick to fruit and vegetable carbs and stay away from what I like to call "insulin inducing"…
  • I eat the same thing every day for breakfast so input a few days ahead of time my breakfast. After I make my lunch for the next day I input that into MFP as well. I do that so I see how many calories I have left over for dinner and snacks and also because I'm very careful on my high protein, low carb meal plan, I want to…
  • I normally am between 60 - 120 grams of protein a day. Based on my own experience and what I've read carbs from fruits and vegetables are fine and don't slow your weightloss. It seems to be the bready type of carbs that seem to slow down my weight loss.
  • I have my goal set at 800 calories but should be getting 900 calories a day. I just did the math on how you calculated out my calories and thank you very much for that info. So Protein and Carbs is 4 calories per gram and Fat is 9 calories per gram? I knew about the Fat but not about the other two.
  • 900 calories a day actually.
  • I don't buy it so there is none of it in my house. I always walk around with a water bottle and drink water or Crystal Light. It took a while to get into a routine of ordering water at restaurants, and not diet coke but I haven't had any pop in almost three months.

  • I have also been seeing a dietician for a few months and she said to take your weight in kilograms and multiple that by 0.8. That is the amount of protein in grams you are supposed to consume. You will lose faster and better if you have a high protein, low carb meal plan. High protein means that you won't lose muscle…
