Not sure about others, but I can't get my Android app to post pictures at all. I have to go to the browser version and use the picture attachment feature there.

This post is awesome. I've had a ton of stress lately (really bad stuff happening with my family back home) and I've been going up and down from panic and anxiety and jitters to a deep, depressed funk. I'll be trying some of these.

Just a quick heads up: Sometimes when you message someone who isn't on your friend list, the message never gets through.

I've tried it, it has the texture of natural peanut butter. The oil rises to the top and leaves a very solid paste at the bottom. It was surprisingly tasty, though! I'd buy it again if it weren't so expensive here.

Sorry, Spam, that does sound very frustrating! I'd be fed up as well.

Oh, no. :( Hugs and prayers going up!

Oh, no! I'm sorry, Mel. I hope he recovers quickly.

That WOULD be mentally hard. Maybe avoid the scale except at "official" weigh-ins? I'm not sure I could handle that either!

Congratulations, how exciting!

Thanks! Mr. Susie and I were on vacation, we spent 16 days between Belgium and the Netherlands. I just got home yesterday! I'll try to post some pictures later. It was so beautiful there! Mel, sorry to hear about your dad. Hugs!

Don't impulse buy. Plan your grocery store visits by making a loose meal plan that's made up of meals you actually eat, rather than something pulled off a diet website. Check what ingredients you have on hand for those meals and what you need to buy to have enough to last the week. This doesn't have to be exact or planned…

I'm in Belgium, eating ridiculous amounts of seriously amazing waffles. I'll think of you guys as I eat them! ;)

Body World in Amsterdam is one of them. I'm both highly creeped out and also very intrigued, because I just finished up two semesters of Anatomy & Physiology. I haven't quite decided if I'm going to brave the place while I'm on vacation later this year.

Oh my goodness, that's horrible! I'm so glad you're alright! I'm so sorry about your bike, I know that must have been an awful blow. :(

A little finicky, but what I do is this: Total cooked weight / total dry weight x dry weight of my planned serving = cooked weight of my planned serving Example: If I pre-logged 60g of dry pasta for me but I'm also cooking another 100g for my husband, I would figure out my serving like so, assuming the weight of the cooked…

This. The cheese you make at home won't be that different from the kind produced commercially, and the calories should be just about the same. My sister has tried making her own cheese using a similar recipe to yours, and she did fine (that is, her weight loss rate wasn't affected) using an entry for commercially prepared…

This! Veeeery small, adorable potato. :D
-
A 60 gram potato would be a ridiculously small potato, in my opinion. We all have our own idea of what constitutes small, medium, or large items, which is why using weight is so much more accurate. To me, a medium potato would be about 150 grams, which is more than 100 calories. :)

I can definitely relate to hating these, they make me want to grind my teeth down to powder. Another one that makes me want to stab someone is writing "peaked" instead of "piqued".
-
If you sit and think really hard about any particular word, it always starts feeling that way. :D

Rice can be logged as cooked or dried, just ensure you pick the correct entry. I prefer to log dry rice, because it's more accurate (depending on how you cook it, it may absorb less or more water than the cooked rice entry suggests). To log it dry, weigh out the amount you want to eat (it doesn't HAVE to be 49 grams, but…

Vanilla powder as in the kitchen spice cabinet type, or vanilla protein powder? If it's the flavoring, I'd just use regular vanilla extract instead (the powder is kind of nasty...). If it's the protein powder, I like the Optimum Nutrition one. I haven't had it for a long time, but I think it was called vanilla ice cream.

Not the poster you're replying to, but an Arab with an extensive love for hummus. :D Removing the skins will give you a silky-smooth texture, which is delicious, but I'm lazy and keep them on and love my slightly-grainy non-smooth hummus too! I also like to keep the skins on for the fiber... But I admit that it's more…

I do! Your stomach is flatter and your waist is more defined. :)

Happy to report that I'm feeling slightly better today! :) It helps that I bought a bunch of chocolate (lots of calories in a little package!) and managed to get my calories met both yesterday and most of the way today. Not being dizzy and weak and irritable makes the whole world seem new. ;) Thanks again to you guys for…

Awww! That sounds absolutely adorable.

Also an idea to try! Man, I should have come in here and ranted AGES ago. Thank you guys so much! <3

Thank you for all your suggestions! Lots of stuff to discuss with the doctor. :) I don't know if they sell crystalized ginger here, but I'll look around for it... No harm in trying, right? Gas-X isn't something they sell here (a lot of the OTC stuff available in the US aren't available here) but I should have thought of…

Hi LeeAnn! Long time no see for sure. :) I really hope it isn't that. From what I've found out so far, it might be gastroparesis. The GI specialist that I saw didn't tell me anything in terms of an actual diagnosis, just scheduled the gastroscopy, so I've been trying to figure out what it might be (because I'm impatient,…

I'm glad to see you guys too! I've been cheering you all on from the background, although I've been MIA for a while. I hope all is well with you! <3
