  • There are different levels of "living a fit life". Not everyone has to be like the guy in the Planet Fitness commercials. And, yes, while I do run on the treadmill sometimes, I have also lost most of my weight in my Zumba classes (which I look forward to and are FUN). But, if it takes his workouts to be boring....I guess…
  • I agree that it depends on the situation. I am best friends with my ex-boyfriend. We dated for almost 11 years and have a child together. We both date other people and we are fine with it. We can even give each other sex/romantic advice. By the way, we've been broken up since Jan this year.
  • My best weird compliment: I was dating a new guy who came over to my house and was looking at the pics on my wall (they were old). He asked if that was my sister. I told him they were me a few years ago. He said there was no way that person was me and to this day, he still doesn't believe me. LOL I'm taking this as a…
  • Popcorn. I hate popcorn.
  • Love, love, love my body pump class. It's hard work and you will be sore for at least a day after your first class but it's worth it. I do body pump 2-3 days a week. You can always just go take one class and see if it's something you would like! Good luck!
  • I'm going to play Devil's advocate here and believe me, I've been in the same position as you..... Are you sure they are giggling about you? I am a die-hard Zumba girl and we have a group of normal ladies that attend (and we've been together over 1 year). We stand in a group sometimes before class and giggle but NEVER…
  • In addition to what other people said....a horrible kisser!
  • My favorite physical change? Everything but in particular my face! My favorite overall change is when I have to add more weight because I've underestimated what my body can now do.
  • I was just talking about this with a friend the other day at the gym. I realized that my fat path had everything to do with my attitude towards my parents. If I would gain a few pounds as a teenager, my step-father would put me on "sugar restriction" meaning that I couldn't have ANYTHING with sugar in it (not even a slice…
  • I am celebrating a break up of a 10.5 year relationship as well and the finalization of our parenting agreement. The celebration for me is challenging myself to run a marathon by the end of summer, lol. I'm thinking about taking myself to Vegas for a weekend though.....
  • Not from Ohio but I am a Buckeye fan! Does that count? Feel free to add me too.
  • I don't explain them but I have seen them. And, yes, there are multiple spinners who wear their helmets.... Maybe it's because the helmets match the shoes and the pants with the padding in them....
  • Yep! I second this! Where did all the good men go?!?!?! At least I have a FWB at my beck and call. A hot personal trainer who talks and acts like Hitch....gotta go make a phone call.... Oh, and a good vacation...
  • We have some hardcore spinners that wear their helmet when in the spin class too. A fellow Zumba girl told me that it's just in case they faint and fall off the bike, they won't get a head injury. Whatever works for them I guess. A parrot on the shoulder is pretty weird!
  • All of the above except maybe slow and steady. My workouts: 45 minutes of heavy lifting 2 Zumba classes - fun yet my HR goes into the 170's for quite a while. Then, after Zumba, I either run on the treadmill for 5 miles or bike 10 miles. I am at the gym from 9-1-ish on my days off (4 days/week). If that's not intensive, I…
  • My body is amazing because I heap 4 hours of abusive exercise on it daily and it not only keeps up with me, it loves every minute of it! I actually go through withdrawals on the days I don't work out.
  • I usually get dressed up and go someplace. I never feel more sexy than when I lock eyes with a hot guy and flash a cute smile just to have him smile back or come up to say hi. Works every time!
  • That's awesome! How long did you train? I've been thinking about doing a triathlon at the end of August but that might be too soon.... P.S. I just read your entire story and it is so motivational! You ROCK! Congrats again!
  • I am currently taking thermogenics. I started working out and eating healthier WITHOUT the thermogenics in March of this year. I dropped a total of 35 lbs (which is great). Starting at the beginning of June, I noticed that I hit a plateau where in one week I would lose a pound, the next week I would gain it back, etc. I…
  • You are practically my twin on this subject! I used to drink nothing but diet soda...never water,,,and had nothing but issues from my stomach. Now that I don't drink it, my overall digestive health is much better. I also found that drinking diet soda would stall my weight loss. My body is much happier consuming the water…
  • Congrats! That is awesome!!! I have a pair of size 8 jeans saved. I can't wait until I fit into them (hopefully by the end of summer). I was clothes shopping the other day and I agree that it is so exciting when you can bring something into the dressing room and need a smaller size!!! That is well worth all of the work!!!
  • Born in Colorado Springs, raised in Sacramento, CA and now back in Colorado Springs. I love CO!!!
  • Tainted - Yikes. Abusive relationships are NEVER okay and, as a RN, I am going to suggest that you get professional counseling...quickly. Also, I would be okay with him packing alone only if you can trust him. If he is going to go crazy, I would invite some male people over (hopefully older than you who can keep their…
  • Now that is damn funny!
  • The best advice you will ever receive: YOU CAN NEVER CHANGE A MAN. No matter how much you want to, a person won't make a change unless they want that change in their life. I swear this is the biggest mistake women make and all it does is cause heartache and misery for all involved. He will feel constantly belittled and you…
  • I would never suggest packing anyone's stuff in their bags and leaving it by the door. Have you told him you want him to move out? Ask if he can stay with a friend for a while? Tell him it's just not working out between you?
  • Just give her a few smiles and maybe a head nod at first and see if she responds. If she responds, go up to her and introduce yourself. We are not that complicated. And, I disagree with the sweaty comment. I work out for four hours a day. You can guarantee that I am a sweaty mess when I am done. I don't mind when men…
  • I am way too nice to people (which is both a blessing and a curse). I am not judgemental enough (which is why I always fall for the wrong type of guy - so I've been told by close friends). I get taken advantage of all the time.
  • I'm so sorry that happened to you. People can be SO RUDE! My son was born with a cleft lip and palate and you would not believe the comments some people make (and still do). I have to believe that people cannot be that mean on purpose. I do think it's out of ignorance. It doesn't hurt less but I thank my lucky stars I have…
  • Scuba diving in Fiji, with the man of my dreams, both of us in our birthday suits.... Nice to dream. One day soon, hopefully.
