Hubby and I go to the gym together, but we do separate things. I lift free-weights and he prefers the machines. He knows my routine and knows I struggle most on bench presses, so he will come spot me when I get to those. Works out perfectly for us!

Food porn ... makes me weak in the knees.

New to squats as well. Bumping in hopes of seeing more answers or suggestions.

StrongLifts. Not seeing the scale move much, BUT definitely losing inches. :drinker:

There was no mention of cake ... so I left

I have only been lifting 6 weeks, doing StrongLifts. So far, I am at these weights, 5x5: Squat: 120 lbs Bench: 65 lbs Deadlift: 145 lbs Don't know if that's good or bad??

Not pathetic at all! Kudos to you for just doing it! We all have to start somewhere, and you just got your start! You will progress from here and do better and better every time you get out there!
-
Nope, no cheat days here ... I basically eat what ever I want and if I happen to go over on calories, I just workout a little harder to make up the difference.

My entire life, thus far. And I don't plan on changing that any time soon.

If it is already used to calculate your TDEE, then, no.

Are you trying to cut or bulk?

Luckily, I have not had an embarrassing GYM moment ... yet.

You, sir, look absolutely delicious! All your hard work has definitely paid off!

Sadly, this is true ... and disturbing.

When I used to live in AZ, if you didn't run/jog/walk/bike at that time of morning, you'd die of a heat stroke doing it during the day this time of year.

Hmmmm ... I guess I am in the minority here. 5'3", 39 y/o I typically eat 2000-2300 cals per day and have a deficit of 15-20%. I workout 6-7 days per week, mostly walking. I also lift heavy things and put them back down 3 days per week.

When I was in my 20's and weighed 105-110 pounds, I got asked a lot whether my boobs were real (size DD). Some even asked if they could touch them to confirm :noway: Sadly, nobody asks anymore ...

I got really lazy over the weekend and only managed 3 miles  Not entirely my fault tho, my allergies were killing me, so I took some meds and it knocked me out most of the weekend.

The first few weeks of SL are meant to be easy, as you should be taking this time to focus on your form. Don't worry, the sweating and panting will come soon enough ;)
