I have been weight lifting with my trainer 2x/wk and doing cardio 4x/wk. As of next week, I will be eliminating cardio and doing strictly weights 5x/wk with rest days on weekends. I guess I will be well on my way to being some sort of ... She-Hulk?!

Very motivational, thanks for sharing!

Just keep doing what you're doing, give it some more time, and your commitment will pay off. The scale may not have budged, but that's because you are replacing fat with muscle. You are losing inches, and that's what really matters.

The best I can do is try to get as close as possible everyday, but I've NEVER been able to hit EXACTLY.

Yeah, what's with the points thing?? Do you get to redeem them for additional weight loss or something??

You have the most common sense of anyone I know on this site!

I made the mistake of going by what the TDEE calculators were telling me to eat, based on *moderate activity* even though I was working out 6 days per week, minimum of 1hr per day (3 strength, 3 cardio). In 2 months I gained 2lbs, because while I thought I was eating at a deficit, I was actually eating at a surplus. I did…

SparkPeople did not capture my attention at all. I was on there for maybe a week or two and lost interest. MFP is much better, IMO.

I used to have 2 rat terriers, Junior and Diesel

I have nothing to contribute, but would like to see more :flowerforyou:

Are you saying, sir, that your CURRENT friends are not twisted enough for you?!?! :brokenheart:

I just came across this recipe earlier today, and will be trying it this weekend: Tropical Guacamole 1/2 avocado, pitted, peeled, and chopped 1/8 tsp salt 2 tbsp chopped red onion 1 1/2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro 2 tsp chopped jalapeno 2 tsp fresh lime juice 1/4 cup chopped pineapple 1/4 cup chopped ripe mango 1/4 cup…

I am calorie cycling, but it turns out that it's (almost) the exact same as what I should be eating based on the book anyway, so it works out perfectly! I am currently eating 2200 calories on lift days, and 1700 on days I don't lift, but still do cardio.

Sorry I can't help, I don't know what it is... But I will help you bump this thread though, in case someone else has any insight!

Here's my contribution to you goal! Now go out there and run with it! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

The only thing you need to lose is the so called boyfriend. You are at a healthy weight for your height, and the only thing you *might* need is to pick up some really heavy stuff and put it back down (weight training, that is).

Today is my last workout in stage 1 of New Rules of Lifting for Women! I may do the "bonus" routines to finish out the week (for sh!tz-n-grinz) and start stage 2 next week. Hooray for stage 2!

These are excellent suggestions! This is exactly what I did when I upped my calories from 800-1000 to 1900. The protein shakes/smoothies and nuts are a life saver! High calories AND good for you, too.

Patience was a virtue that I totally got bypassed on, so it's something I am learning (slowly). Love to inspire and be inspired as well, so feel free to add!

Feel free to add, I've been eating more about 2 months now, and love it!
-
I eat 1700 on non-workout days and 2200 on weight lifting days! Feel free to add, my diary is open to friends.

I was going to be sarcastic and say MFP, then I read the rest of your question  I use a Polar FT4 when I do cardio

Hi, there! I am a mom of one, 38 y/o, and I eat 1700-2200 calories. Feel free to add!

Ummm...I think I ended up with them, but I'm not on his friends list though

I am always within my macros, so 100 "unaccounted" quick added calories is (to me) negligible.
-
I am pretty good about measuring and logging everything, but I always end my day with 100 quick added calories. Not because I had anything I shouldn't have or would be ashamed of, but because no matter how diligent you are, (with 64 different chicken breast entries to choose from in the database) there's always room for…

40% carbs, 30% fat, 30% protein is the most commonly used ratios
