SALT (at least for me) is a BIG one. I just came off of a 3-day BluePrint cleanse. Where I previously consumed 2000+ mg of sodium a day, I went down to about 50mg or so. I lost 4.5 lbs in those 3 days. I still worked out and such too because my energy levels on this cleanse were through the roof. If you have the money to…

These posts are so inspiring! Way to kick some *kitten*, ladies! My wedding is 5/25/13. I lost about 15 lbs last year and still have about 5 more to go. My routine is this: -Gym for one hour every morning, seven days a week (cardio + strength training) -Yoga once a week -Food: try to be really good Sunday through Thursday…

That is just food intake! MFP says to say at 1200 net so net cals I hover between 1000-1200 usually! More if I don't do cardio for the day!

Sorry regarding my calorie intake, other than the cheat days once or so a week I maintained around 13-1500 a day in the past year or so. Before that I'm not really sure. I've been trying and slowly losing weight for 4 yrs. Counting cals and exercising has been most successful for me. Even Bootcamp and weight watchers…

Hello thanks for the reply! I've been doing the calories deficit now for almost a year! I lost more than 10 lbs at first but I've stalled the last 6 months! I started resistance training almost 5 months ago and I do some machine weights at the gym for my legs and back, along with pushups with a fitness ball and situps, leg…

Hi there! I'm new to this group and a friend of mine recommended it in order to get my targets in order and learn more about overall fitness, macros, etc! I've been skimming the threads so much and the information is fascinating - there's so much to learn!! First thing for me I've very curious about is "am I doing this…

I honestly would have ordered a bigger size had I ordered my dress! Instead I took the sample on the rack hence saving so much money! It zips up most of the way, just not all the way. Work to do!!

I first went with an elliptical at home from Brookstone ($250) and that got me motivated because you get to sleep a little longer and it's staring at you every day! Also, if you don't get to it some mornings it's waiting for you at night! And then the elliptical died and I had to get a gym membership... I think as everyone…

You look incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is actually a zipper back! The buttons are for show. Does that make a difference??

I totally know how you feel! Honestly, I never EVER thought in a million years I'd be able to buy a dress off the rack. With hard work and will power, you absolutely can do it! I went from a size 14 to a 4/6. It can be done! If I had been more consistent, I could have done it quicker, but I didn't have a wedding to look…

Thanks for this! I've heard similar things about dairy too. I do eat wheat/gluten products.. most of my diet consists of fish/seafood, vegetables, yogurt and cheese, as well as grains like bread (whole wheat) and polenta, rice. Rarely pasta. I could try less wheat/gluten and just replace with gluten free items? I don't eat…

Yeah I definitely don't want to lose too much more weight! When I was 165 lbs, I had a 32" waist. So I'd estimate about with each 10 lbs I lose, I lost about 1.2 inches from my waist. Not completely accurate but an estimate. Clearly I can't lose 20 lbs nor would I want to but I hear it's possible to lose inches without…

Yes, looking at my weekly diary, the weekends are what's kind of killing me, and a big part of it is wine. It's funny, cos I don't like any sugary drinks - I mainly stick to vodka soda or wine. No beer, no fruity drinks, and that's without trying. But four glasses of wine is nearly 500 extra calories on a Saturday,,, I…

thank you!

Oh my dear, trust me, I know- completely silly! It doesn't help I love clothes too much. I'm in it to win it only for myself tho, no one else!
-
Here's a photo!
-
I've thought about that tho the dress already has some boning in it.. gonna try to take a picture, stay tuned!

It sounds scary but yes, I'd be willing to do that! I no longer subscribe to "women shouldn't lift weights or they'll just add inches" but I can't say that from experience. I once did boot camp for three months, lost 1/2 a lb but for the first time I could feel muscle in my arm. I wish I had measured!

Thanks! I think my macros are right around your 40/30/30 - I could definitely afford to get higher up on the protein tho (I'm a pescetarian and admittedly don't eat as much protein on a daily basis as I should.). I would LOVE to do something like P90x, but not to make excuses, but I live in an apartment with all hard-wood…

Thanks ladies! I'm pretty determined but I also want to be realistic. Saving money is great but if I'm gonna end up buying a new dress cos I can't fit into the current one that's not good! I just checked the dress' size chart online and it looks like actually my hips and bust are in line with the sizing but it's my waist…

I completely agree with this. They don't really have a lot of flavor but can be added to a dish to fill you up a little more. I don't really use it in meals but in snacks. I just had some today with vegan chili (I'm from Cincinnati so chili over spaghetti is super common). And it was great! They work great in soups and…

Thanks for posting this! However, I went to this website and to lose 7 lbs (From 125 lbs to 117 lbs, my goal), it's telling me to eat 2,800 calories a day to lose weight! How can this be right? Has anyone had success with these models? I've lost 10 lbs since March (135-125) and that's from staying at around 1,500. I can't…

I'm 5'5''! Pros: -I rarely have to deal with clothing that's too short on me. -I can wear 5" heels and still be shorter than my fella (which I like). -I'm pretty "Average." My height is not something about me that stands out. And sometimes you just don't want to stand out. Cons: -I think a lot of great clothing looks ace…

I think the Nature Valley peanut protein bars are great, along with the Bumblebee tuna fish kits (don't need to be cold), also snap peas are a great snack, too!

Working out in the morning as opposed to after-work has honestly changed my life and my body. Since I've switched to morning workouts, about a year and a half ago, I've lost 20 lbs. Because it's much easier for me to skip a workout at night, after work, when I'm exhausted then to wake up early. It sounds crazy, I know. It…

Is this thread really happening? I thought we were all in this thing together. Time to eat my feelings... CHEAT DAY!!!!
