Thank you. Why doctors recommend eating no more than two to three eggs per week if you're trying to lower LDL “bad” cholesterol?

You are much younger. I'm 60 years old at it for 11 years. We're in this together. I was diagnosed at 98kgs. I am not an expert but weight and diabetes are connected, I think. My control over fasting blood sugars improved as BMI dropped. As tsazani wrote... your efforts and success are to be admired. :flowerforyou:

Typo.. I have difficulty keeping fasting numbers normal when in maintenance mode. I may need to take metformin now that I don't have much weight left to drop at BMI 20/21 and BF less than 13%. I wonder if anyone of us here had to face this dilemma? Thanks.
-
Thanks. 110 and 126 are almost close to normal.. isn't it? My post prandial 2 hr readings run as high as 200 even if meal was low carb. It takes 3 hours to return to normal.

Yes, I understand what you mean and agree. Depressing thought but each of us in our own way try to kick the can as far down the road as we can.. isn't it? Its a matter of time before I succumb to very medications I tried to avoid for years, I accept this fact. This is your profession, how good are the chances of someone…

I write strictly for myself. I've respect for people in your profession. Unfortunately they were of no help to me in matter of diabetes. Doctors prescribed for me medications including statin drugs. I did not know a thing..I knew one thing.. medications prescribed to me cured nothing.. all they did was delay onslaught of…

Share own personal experience is all I can. Controlling blood sugars for 11 years without a medication has taught me few tricks of my own. Fat is a friend. Fat does not peak unlike carbs (2hr) and proteins (4to5hr). It slows down digestion of carbs, lets me indulge in personal favorites like cheese of all kinds, and…
-
Are you a diabetic? Proteins peak at 4.5 hr and carbs at 1 hr.. among normal non-diabetic. This is as per 11 year old notes in my diary. I'm diabetic type II.. my carbs peak at 2 hours. I used to test 3 hours after meal. For years now, I have relied on early morning fasting blood sugar numbers. Having gone through the…

Is it due to cortison injections that your numbers spike as high as 593?
-
Makes perfect sense to me. Your anxiety was unnecessary and unjustified. You'll have to get used to slight fluctuations. And congratulations for getting off the medications. :flowerforyou:
-
Your numbers aren't too bad. Don't panic. An hour or two of brisk walk help lower my numbers.
