Have you heard of Convict Conditioning? It's all exorcises you can do at home, without weights. It's based not only on how convicts do in prison, but on exorcises Romans did before things like freeweights were a thing. The author himself spent time in prison, so it's a first hand account.

LoL. It just freaks me out, because it makes me wonder if I've been wearing the wrong pants or something all this time to create this ring around my middle.

It's not the same as mine, that tight ring around my belly button has always been there. That's interesting tho. Surely we're not the only ones...

Guess I'm the only one...

I last cut mine in May. Before that it had been about a year and a half. I've done that the last 3 times though because I donate it to locks of love. :-)

"DO IT FOR THE COWS!" This probably begs an explanation... When I was in high school in my little town, I was in marching band. Every summer and fall we would have to practice our marching sets on the practice field which was right beside farm land with, as you can imagine, COWS! For whatever reason, if we were having a…

I was in ballet when I was younger. I would love to take it again, not because I was skinny (I wasn't) or even because I was good at it (I wasn't) but I really enjoyed it.

WoW! Bump!

Have you tried any kind of back brace? You may need to talk to your doctor about getting an orthopedic brace for support while you run.

I've never been able to hoolahoop, not even when I was a kid. But I used to go to a Curves that had a weighted one and I loved it! I can keep a weighted going, but for some reason I can't even get a normal one started. I got mine at WalMart, I think it was about $20. As for what to do with my arms, I still haven't figured…

I used 3lb weights. They seemed just about right.

LoL- I'm on week 4, and a while back I "found" a crack in the sidewalk. Scraped my knee up pretty bad. But, I got up, looked around to make sure no one was holding a camera, and kept going. What I've found is, even if there is someone else on my jogging trail, and even if they are in better shape than me, they understand.…

Just finished day 2. I had to pause it a few times, but I'm happy with what I've accomplished for the day.

I tried it this morning after running, didn't go so well. She starts out with squats, and my legs just couldn't take it after running.
-
Aw, it makes me sad tho. I was enjoying everyone destroying everything he said...
-
Well, I tried it. Didn't do so well, unfortunately. I went jogging earlier, I'm hoping that is my problem. As in, maybe I over did it, especially for a first day. :-/ O well, will try again tomorrow!

Congratulations! I'm trying to start running. It's not as cute and easy as the Nike commercials make it look.
-
This is excellent! I would love to start with everyone here! I've been doing the C25K running program, and while I've noticed changes in my legs (especially my thighs) my belly is still this glob of goo that just won't go away! Does anyone have any tips before we start? Like what measurements to take or what exorcise…

I agree. Especially since you say it started just after giving blood. You may have an imbalance of some sort that was triggered by that, either physically or mentally. Let your doctor know when you started loosing the weight, how quickly you dropped it, when you started gaining it back, and how quickly it came back. And,…
