  • a protein bar, a protein shake, or yogurt with cottage cheese are my mid-day snack. If you like canteloupe, cut it in half, take out the center and fill it up with cottage cheese. Eat it with a spoon. Delicious and filling.
  • avoid the taco shells (equivalent to bread, all starch) and the ground beef, which is mostly fat. I would ask for chicken fajitas and eat the onions, peppers, chicken and beans with a fork (instead of using the tortillas and filling it up with rice and cheese!!) Guacamole is OK.
