I mainly just stick to the produce section because I'm a lousy cook. I also buy beans and lentils in bulk. There's also an app called "Is it vegan?" So if you decide to an occasional splurge on something you can scan it to make sure it doesn't have any sneaky products.

A lot of models calorie restrict and carb restrict and go through these sh!tty mental breakdowns. Do your research thoroughly first.

Eat more food. I used to do that crap and it left me feeling like crap. I eat over 2000 cals now and my abs are flatter than on 1200.
-
Wheeee I'm a vegan :D I will add
-
I wash all my food, including protein powder.

Weight gain and genetics are not related, bad diet and poor habits can result in weight gain. Also there are studies (I don't have the specific link bookmarked but you could probably find it) that we all have a similar basic metabolic rate...I mean obviously 100lb vs 200lb person is going to have a different caloric intake…

Sodium Water weight Exercise Too little calories (ironically) ^^^ all these can lead to a bump in the scale

I'm mostly raw, you can add me X)

If you are that worried about protein try growing sprouts, I havent done this yet but I heard its higher in protein. Also get blood work done, and then again in a few months to see where your B12 is before potentially wasting money on B12 supplements.

Some entertaining youtube ones are: vegan black metal chef the vegan zombie edgy vedge

Cast iron? Woah, how much does the frame weigh? Mine's some aluminum metal mix and its pretty dang heavy and makes uphill a battle haha. But yea running takes a higher toll on the body than biking does. I find with the recovery I get on my biking trips I can go on for hours nonstop but with running....well I have a wall…

It's not the carbs. I've been a vegetarian for over 10 years. Vegan for 5 months. Its possibly the "veg*n junk food" you're eating. Eat more whole foods is really the basics of a good plant based lifestyle. When I stopped eating dairy I instantly lost weight, let that be a start :)

Actually that would make me feel better ;)

5 bananas Some random amount of water 1-2 Tb cacao powder Another chocolate version

Exactly what this guy said. There's plenty of research (real research, not funded by controversial industry or terribly done control groups) that you can get the same muscle building as 1g/lb. And for all those trying to spread high protein/paleo/anti vegan whatever....ill laugh at you in 50 years. It had been proven that…

Low carb = fad diet. Just eat whole foods filled with vitamins and minerals and you'll be ok. Also carbs = diabetes....eh....I beg to differ. I know two people who've gotten diabetes after doing low carb. The one managed to reverse it with a "high carb" diet while the other one still is following low carb and suffering.

Spoilers ;)

Yup. You probably shouldn't be eating 1200 calories anyways. This calculator is based off of your daily expenditure: http://www.health-calc.com/diet/energy-expenditure-advanced If anything just make healthier choices instead of counting calories.

Clean food is a dumb concept. It could mean I eat artificial sweetener or none. Or I eat whey protein and break yogurt or shun dairy. Just eat whole unprocessed food. It's interesting enough that there are some people who lost weight on 3000+ calories a day and don't exercise and they used to be the typical "I can only eat…

Welp welcome to the beginning of ED related bullsht. You may be able to lose weight eating 1200 but eventually your body will adjust to the energy level input/output making your body run "more efficient". If you still need to lose you will want to cut more calories and/or do more exercising. Is a vicious cycle.

GTFO That's what starts eating disorders. She's doing great.

I'm 5'3 and 24! I'm trying to lose inches and not look at the scale (actually I threw it out haaaa)

It happens, could be burn out related. Have you tried cycling your runs? Like increase by 10% for 3-4 weeks and then do a backoff week that's 10% under week one?
-
I don't, I find that cardio workouts help with cramps.

Everyone has their own definition. Paleo is "what cavemen eat" no one truly knows exactly what we ate since 1) bones last forever and 2) evolution is an amazing thing guys and not all of you suffer from celiac disease. Clean eating on the other hand also has a ton of silly things like people who include artificial…
