It's never really been a factor with me. I've married an A, and years later a DD (and in between, dated, well, everything in between). In both cases, it was irrelevant to me. Not to say that I'm not fond of them, but there are plenty of other attributes that win out with me.

I'll be at my second WD in June. Definitely looking forward to seeing if I can make it a "dash" instead of a "dash->jog->gasp" cycle this time. I'm a lot more active now. Very fun event overall. Good luck!

Thanks for the share! I've been experimenting with quinoa (love the stuff) for a couple weeks and I've reached the point where I need to branch out more.

I always wear a pair of biker's shorts underneath a pair of normal shorts.

Agreed. I've reached the point where I never bother weighing myself after a race because of all of the water intake. The fact that you finished is enough. The time it takes is the time it takes. No more. Plus, you finished a heck of a lot faster than everyone who never got off the couch and *started* it.

I just got this Saturday, right after I finished my third half marathon. Not purely weight loss inspired, but since running has become something that I actually enjoy...: Back-story: Just over a year ago, my former cheering section of one was out of town. To get me through the temporary solitude, I received a series of…

29 MAR - 2.88 miles Running a half marathon tomorrow, so I'll have a nice boost to my total. Fell short overall for the month - no excuses, it's my fault. Looking forward to getting myself back in line in April's challenge.

Always good to be reminded.

Another +1 for Hal Higdon's site/program. I'm running my fifth full in Cincinnati this May and for the past few marathons, I've been trying to stick to a regimen with the "Intermediate" plans for scheduled running.

sjmgde, just be sure to change "IMG" to lowercase ("img")

Seconded. Especially the suggestion of reading up on them first. There are people who make a killing in savings using the drug stores route.

I'm in. March was a failure for me, but I'll be done moving in April (with the added bonus of changing my 4 hour round-trip drive to work to ~30-40 minutes!). I've got a marathon in May, so my training miles should help a lot with the goal. In for 100 miles in April.

Short version: You'll have to first upload your picture to an image hosting site. Then you can link to it in your post. Someone's already created a tutorial here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/540392-posting-pictures-on-the-boards-tutorial?hl=post+pictures#posts-7570278 Key note often overlooked: When you get to…

See, this just keeps getting me arrested when I go buy groceries.

I'm starting on the first as well. I just got the DVD in the mail. I move into my new apartment on the first of April. I distinctly went for a first floor apartment so I could exercise at home without having to worry about the noise for a downstairs neighbor.

Mine, too :) I remember the joy of having a "skinny" pair of jeans not only fit, but later slide past my hips if I pulled on them while not wearing a belt. Congrats on the NSV!

Definitely agree. I've been raiding the clearance racks at Target for pants lately. My shirts still look a bit baggy, but at least I don't have to worry about them falling down. Once I'm past this stage of clothing and move on to the next sizing dilemma, I'll just donate the bulk of them to Goodwill.

I haven't got a very good pace, so for running events in general (every 5k, 10k, Half/Full marathon) I always use the mantra, "I'll finish. I won't finish well, but I'll finish." When I find myself mentally ticked at myself when seeing children / grandparents / parents pushing the racing strollers (seriously? I hate seeing…

I use Daily Mile (http://dailymile.com) for my run tracking. It provides a lot of room for detailed tracking. I then hop over to here and enter the generic exercise tracking information.

14 MAR - 3.29 miles

... you buy 20 boxes of Girl Scout cookies to support a friend's child - and still have 19 boxes left 3 weeks later. Seriously, I used to inhale those things.

10 MAR: 3.1 miles

I'm in for 100. Thanks for this, it's good to have the accountability to help keep me going. :)
