Thank you for sharing your story. Mine is very similar. My recent A1C was 7.1 down from 8.4. The older I get the harder it is to just shrug off the disease, it's there and it's here to stay. I have tried and failed many times at making a lifestyle change, but here I am, hoping for the best this time around. Hang in there!

Grrrrrr.... always fighting with my blood glucose levels, 159 this morning. I'm on metformin 2x a day and Januvia. One step at a time.

I'm extremely anemic, and have always craved ice. It's one of the symptoms of anemia. Have your doctor check your hemoglobin.

I had to look, LOL! I haven't changed it since I was pregnant with my daughter, she's turning 24 this year. And even then the guy behind the counter at the DMV looked at me and said "are you really 195?", I looked at him funny and told him "No, but I'm pregnant." Haha! I was 211 when I had her. Yes, I wouldn't actually say a cheat day, but I try not to deprive myself of what I want. A little bit of goodness is ok. I look at this as a lifestyle change not a diet. I know, a lot of people say that but really I want to be able to eat healthy, make healthy choices and have portion control. I think once we have portion…

Yikes! That Lazy Disease seems to be going around. I had it bad for a long time then found out I had a lazy thyroid and I was severely anemic. On the road back to feeling normal again.

I was 158lbs at 5'6" when I graduated 25 years ago. Now 3 kids later, marriage and lots of stress I am 270. My highest weight was 304. I'd love to get under 200, that's my long term goal.
