Not really one to get sick (knock on wood!), but when I would get sick when I was younger my dad would always make me cheese grits. It sounds odd, but it's easy to eat if you have a sore throat and a bit more filling than broth-y soups.

Walmart is the only grocery that does this: even though I separate all my groceries according to type (veggies then other refrigerated goods, freezer goods, dry goods, meat, etc.), the meat and the veggies always end up in the same bag. Drives my little anti-ecoli heart insane.

I think this week went well for me all things considered. Since starting the challenge I've raised my calories about 200 per day, started to exercise more strenuously, and it was, of course, Thanksgiving. That's why I've taken measurements, too-- if I don't reach that 10lb goal, hopefully I'll be down a good amount of…

Hahaha, perfect! I am really interested to see how Michonne is going to interact with the prison group. I really like her as a character, and I think she'll add a much needed new dimension. Sure, she's kinda unbalanced, but I think I would be too after all that, haha.

Friends of mine use hummus in tuna salad instead of mayo. Haven't tried it myself, but they seem to really like it.

Well it's been a week and a couple days, but here is how I faired: SW: 169 CW: 166.5 GW: 159 -2.5 think it was a bit of water weight ;) 7.5 to go!

You look amazing and only after two months? Fantastic! Happy, happy birthday!

Dinner, most definitely. I usually eat lunch on the run, so I only pack small sandwiches or things that are easy to eat which generally make them of less substance and lower calorie.

I've known people who use hummus instead of mayo in chicken/tuna salads. I've never tried it, but they rave about it!

Some new healthy recipe cookbooks :)

I am! Buying two plane tickets home within the span of a month isn't economically sound atm, so I chose Christmas to go see my family. I am sad to miss my family, but it's not too bad missing out on the calorie slaughter. I'm just trying to convince them to make Thanksgiving dinner again for Christmas ;) I'm planning on…

Okay, the thought of them hooking up really kind of freaks me out. Like, they obviously have a great connection, and they both hold protectorate roles for each other that they hadn't really had prior to the zombies (Daryl being a strong, dependable guy for Carol and Carol being a sort of mother figure for Daryl). In saying…

LOVED Michonne in this episode-- I just think she adds so much to the character list. Like they were talking about on Talking Dead, she isn't impulsive like a lot of the other characters. She waits, watches, and weighs her options. She seems intelligent, if not a little unbalanced, but I'm excited to see how she interacts…

everyone needs friends, even serial killers. will send!

Ooooh, I never thought about Starbucks as a bad habit (I usually go for the cafe au laits or 'skinny' things), but it definitely is! Need to cut that out a bit for both my wallet and figure.

Italian sausage, spinach, and tomato pasta. 476 cals. YUM.

Oh, boys, how they mess everything up!

NICE! Have you looked into Developmental PhD programs? Maybe you'll find some more interest there :/ . I just submitted my last PhD application earlier this week, so I know what it's like searching around for what you want. Now it's just the waiting (and freaking out!) game. I think your ambitions sound great. Plus you can…

Me, me, me! I don't work full time, but I do have a GA that's pretty demanding. I'm also working on my thesis and doing another experiment/research... for fun.

I have one on the left side of my lower back, and it didn't hurt (just uncomfortable) when it was near the outer side but dang did it hurt when it was near my spine. Good thing pain doesn't bother me all too much. I guess I'm in the camp that it depends where it's located :)

Stepping on the scale and seeing that I weighed the most I ever weighed in my life.

Personally, if I know I have a big day coming up, I cut out a few calories, and make sure to do a good workout before and after. Also, perhaps load up on the veggies and healthier options while leaving only a little room for the unhealthy things-- assuming you are making your own plate. It'll still make your plate look…

Hmm, didn't think about treating myself if I reach my challenge goal... Well, if I reach my goal I will either buy myself this pair of Frye cowboy boots I've been eyeing (assuming I don't get them for xmas ;). If I do get them as a gift, I will... buy myself a NICE new purse. I would say jeans, but I have no problem just…

Would love to be your friend! You'll get back on track-- tomorrow is another day :)

Awesome NSV! I actually had to look up why it's bad to cross your legs. Oops, news to me!

CW : 169 GW : 159 Will be doing measurements as well when I see my friend to borrow her measuring tape :)

Here's what I'm thinking: Food, keep logging and really just trying to eat less processed. No specific diet in mind. Exercise, I plan to follow through on the 30 day shred and cardio at the gym until around the first week of December when I go home where I don't have a gym membership. There I'll do this awesome pilates…
