I don't think that the cayenne pepper/lemon water cleanses are worth try or are safe for your body. However, if you're stuck on a plateau, sometimes doing an "eat clean" cleanse does help to restart your metabolism. Haha, obviously I was generalizing, and I like how enlightened every one here seems to be. This was a large argument at Thanksgiving today between some of my guests, so I was just curious how you guys might perceive the societal "norm" preference to be between the two options, taking it at the most superficial level.

No, you're absolutely right. I think the problem is that, I love food. I've spent the past two years going down from over 320 lbs by eating healthy, limiting my portions, and learning to appreciate foods that are good for my body. I think I'm just frustrated, because I've done all this work, the progress completely…

This stuff is delicious. I got a bottle of the regular and the chocolate on amazon for $5. I tried it, and it's heavenly, tastes just like regular peanut butter. I use it the way that I use any kind of peanut butter: with celery sticks (yum) or in my protein shakes. It's also really great with oatmeal!

She's a bariatric doctor that I was referred to by my primary care physician, so this is technically her specialty. It's just hard, because, she's basically saying, "Food is fuel, stop thinking of it as enjoyable."
