I like adding fruit butters to mine – you can make your own or look for it in specialty foods sections. I have used pumpkin butter, apple butter and peach butter. I always add a complimentary nut as well. Because fruit butters are generally pre-sweetened, I don't add sweetener. But the butters tend to distribute better in…

Trail mix or mixed nuts. Absolutely zero self control so I have to buy it bulk and only buy maybe a half cup at a time.

it isn't a burger, but google the Veganomicon Chickpea Cutlet – they make great sammies!

Fresh berries (raspberries, blackberries and blueberries) in a little flax milk. Delicious, naturally sweet. Can't get enough!

I shop at Whole Foods – I know the store, where everything is and that I can find everything I need. I only shop for myself and only buy exactly what I need so I can keep my grocery bills to $50-60/week. Best of all... no gigantic plastic shopping carts shaped like toy cars for kids. I hate those things!

I run them all by myself. The few I have run with someone else, I felt like I had an anchor around my neck. I feel a camaraderie with the other runners when we're gathered on shuttles, corals and at the starting line but once the gun goes off, it's not a team sport – just me versus me in every other race I've run.

My best advice to you is to set more goals. Having your end-game goal for your birthday is great – I have always had an end-game, ultimate goal. But those can be daunting, you can start to feel like progress is too slow, like you are never going to get there because this process CAN be slow. You'll have big weeks with big…

Tater Tots. I can't stop thinking about salty, crispy tater tots.

I like to reward myself simply because I work hard and I want to do something nice – don't get me wrong, losing weight and feeling healthy and awesome is a fantastic reward in and of itself but sometimes it's also nice to go the extra distance. My treats to myself can be as simple as buying myself fresh flowers or…

There is a man who comes to my gym and drinks a mini bottle of Sutter Home Merlot while on the treadmill. He is my idol.

I am going to try this Roasted Cauliflower + Chickpeas with Dijon Vinaigrette recipe on Saturday – and I am adding some blanched green beans for a little crunch and to boost the veggies. It certainly looks delicious in the pictures! http://www.thewheatlesskitchen.com/feed-child-nourish-mind/

Definitely get your cholesterol levels checked by a doctor, not a gym, if you are concerned. Couldn't hurt – knowledge is power.

For me it has been balancing my healthy habits with having a social life – there have been times I have skipped parties and outings so that I wouldn't stray from my meal plan. In the big picture, of course, I should have just enjoyed that time with friends and not worried.

Feel free to add me! I am always looking for fellow vegans and vegetarians to with which to share support.

I find the assumption that this or similar dietary lifestyles are somehow suffering fascinating. I am not singling you out – I get it in my day-to-day life all the time and I am not even a raw foodist. I think what people don't understand is that I love everything about the way I eat. I love planning meals, I love…

You are more than welcome to!

right now it's just some fresh raspberries and blackberries in unsweetened flax milk. Light, sweet and delicious!

I am vegan and have lost weight. While I keep an eye on all my macros including carbs as well as micronutrients and fiber, it doesn't rule my life. I just eat healthfully – a wide array of fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts and seeds. I didn't go vegan to lose weight; however, I did it because I'm an animal lover. There are…

I don't know if this is an option for you... but my friends and I do a lot of clothing swap parties, too. We are all different shapes and sizes and everything is free, plus you get to hang out and have fun. Otherwise, TJ Maxx, Marshall's, Ross, Burlington Coat Factory. Dress Barn has beautiful plus size clothes and…

I bought a lot of dress pants for work at Goodwill. I am all about the second-hand stores for transition pieces. I also check out the clearance racks at Macy's when I have a Wow pass and have gotten a few really nice, new pieces for under $10 that way.

I love arugula. Definitely peppery, but it is delicious. This week I am mixing it with kale and spinach, wilting it in a little coconut oil then serving it with roasted kabocha (japanese pumpkin). It's the bomb-diggity!

I think Forks over Knives and other documentaries of this sort (Hungry or Change, Food Matters, Vegucated) are fantastic conversation starters as well as catalysts, sparking people's interest in nutrition and what they put into their bodies. Do I have my own opinions and experiences regarding the optimal nutritional and…

I am planting my first garden this year – actually, this Sunday! It's a fairly shady spot so I had to stick with seeds for shade tolerant plants that grow well in my zone. I ended up with lots of greens, lettuces and sprouts, some carrots and beets, some peas on the fence and some herbs/onions. Everything pretty much is…

I eat plant-based – started out of my love for animals but the nutritional benefits are definitely a bonus. I have never been or felt healthier.

I have never really seen myself as either. When I started gaining a significant amount of weight in my early 20's, I stopped looking at "the whole" in the mirror. I look at parts – looked at my eyes, cheeks, mouth to do makeup; hair to do hair, clothes and not body to survey an outfit. Eventually I stopped having mirrors…

She posted a picture of a pot roast followed, immediately, by posting an "end animal abuse" image. I commented that I thought it was ironic and she flipped out, accusing me of attacking her. She was a body-shaming, fat-bashing, superficial stepford wife so it was no great loss.

Wow, the compassion and empathy you demonstrate toward your clients absolutely inspiring. It makes me want to run out and pay someone massive amounts of money so they can berate me and my personal struggles behind my back on a public forum. Kudos.

I have found vegan cheese are a lot like vegan bacon – just can't quite get it too close to the original. I really don't cook meals that require cheese. A sprinkle of nutritional yeast on scrambled tofu and popcorn can give them a cheesy-quality. There are a number of recipes for cashew "cheese" online and you could look…

I just take the tablets and avoid the taste altogether.

I have made my oatmeal using Muscle Milk Light (vanilla flavor) instead of water. It turns out very creamy.
