When you up your calories (during the times that you worked out) did you do that manually, or did you tell MFP that you were no longer sedentary (or whatever level you previously were set at) when you changed your settings?

If you generally make your salads in a similar manner, create a meal or recipe, then just add the meal whenever you have the salad. That way you only have to set it up once and can just add one entry anytime you have a salad that's the same in the future. If I have a different ingredient, I do the meal and then just log…

I was on weight watchers for about 4 months and didn't have much success at all. The plan was good, but a bit frustrating to me and I would always be discouraged when I went in to weight every week and saw little to no difference. MFP has given me much more success, freedom and convenience. I like the people here too.

You pay a little more in groceries (sometimes, I actually find healthy eating pretty reasonable, especially since I'm not eating dinner out or stopping for coffee or lunch), but you pay a LOT less in medical bills because you will in general be healthier.

I literally laughed out loud at this! You know, i was one of those new moms who was determined to do drug free natural child birth. The good old "ring of fire hit" and half a second later I was screaming for an epidural and claiming my undying love for anyone who came into the room with a needle. Ha!

I find motherhood totally fulfilling and totally nerveracking in the same breath. I would decribe it as conflicting at all times. Super joyful, super painful. The only make up I wear is lip gloss (some tinted, the occasional actual lipstick) and eye shadow. So you might start with that if you don't want to do a bunch of stuff. Peel and freeze bananas. Run them through a juicer with a good motor or through a Yonana's machine. The browner (more rip) the bananas are, the better. Can also add other fruits in the same method (berries, mangos, peaches, etc). That's been my ice cream substitute for years.

I am a nail polish and shoe fanatic, so I would either buy one of those items are some new hair. LOL. I haven't bought a wig in quite some time. I think that will be my reward when I've lost 20 lbs.

Good luck to you. I believe you can do it. I have never had a flat belly, but I hope to work up to one some day the future. I've got a lot of fat to lose first though. Anywho, again, I believe you can do it! Stick with it exercise, good eating, plenty of water and adequate rest. :)

Add a couple of smoothies throughout the day (berries, juice, milk or coconut water, etc, yogurt, flax seed, etc, etc). It's a refreshing drink and it will add some healthy calories as well.

It's better because I'm not the only fat person on my friendslist. :) And I mean that in the nicest way. I feel comfortable here with people who understand what I'm going through in my weight loss journey.

Youtube, youtube, youtube. There are tons of 20, 30, 60 minute workout videos on youtube. I have found min trampoline routines, hip hop dance, zumba, taebo, yoga and more. I save them to my favorites and I plug the HDMI cord from my laptop to my tv and I have instant workout and variety.

Your success reminds her of her failure (to lose weight or be healthier). That's why she was put off by you.
