I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism when I was 14 (15 years ago!) and my dosage has been steadily increasing over the years. I'm currently taking 200mcg. I've gone through so many tests and changes of dose and have even been HYPERthyroid from getting too much synthroid--I've been all over the place. But even through all…

Yes, it pretty much is that simple. If you don't over eat then your body isn't going to have the fat to store to make you fat. Can't comment on how many calories you should have, though. I'm very thin and can maintain my weight eating around 1650 daily and I don't "exercise", I just walk daily. Everyone's body is…

Already backed it as well. Especially interesting in regards to indy game development.. on a console!

Jerrica! That's awesome. I loved Jem! We named our daughter for Kaylee from Firefly. :)

I agree with the others! Half a pound a week even would probably be more reasonable. I lost 20 pounds in 2 years and am nearly 30 and that was after giving birth and I'm not too saggy haha.

It's a habit and an addiction. You just have to slowly cut back on how much soda you drink and replace it with water. I used to be absolutely hooked on Pepsi and drank close to a litre a day. We quite cold-turkey a couple times and finally just phased it out of our lives. Now, I don't drink ANYTHING other than water. No…

THIS. I've really cut back on how much bread I eat, but I still really enjoy it. I've switched to whole wheat and multi-grain and only buy it from bakeries and markets so it's not laden with preservatives. Like keddins1 said, if I'm craving bread it just seems to be a craving for carbs so I eat a lot of fruit now. Your…

I'm a stay at home mom too and everyday I get at least a 30 minute walk in with my daughter (24 mo) either in the stroller or carrier and that's my exercise. I don't like doing "workouts", but with walking at least I feel like I'm being productive in the process and getting errands done, as well as getting some…

My bacon "solution" is that I buy wiltshire bacon, which has a lot less fat and more meat to it, but because there's so little fat I end up having to add olive oil for it to fry properly in. But there's still oil left in the pan afterwards. This can apply to a lot of things, like frying an egg, how much oil is left behind…

Huh. Good question! I assume the calories given for bacon are before you fry it, but I wouldn't remove the calories because it'd be hard to know just how much to remove ,and it's always better to over judge your calorie intake anyway! Fried bread, huh? I never realized that was something people ate! But the bacon lover in…

18 BMI You have a lower BMI than 92% of females aged 15-29 in your country (Canada) You have a lower BMI than 82% of females aged 15-29 in the world You're most like someone from Vietnam !!

I'm still nursing my 24 month old and I have no idea how many calories to count for it so I just don't. I set my activity level a step higher and eat my exercise calories. My daily goal is 1350 and it seems low, but it must be right as I'm pretty much maintaining right now. I've never had an issue with milk supply. So glad…

Haha, videogames are such underrated lovers.

Thank you everyone for all the suggestions! I had no idea I could log my multi-vitamin. And the info to take Vitamin D is very helpful. Will make more of a conscious effort to eat lots of greens and seafood. :) Edit: Well, adding my prenatal vitamin certainly helped with my iron intake! But it's low in calcium.

Sugar from fruit is fine because you're getting fibre along with it which helps your body metabolize it properly. Stay away from juice, though, because the fibre has been removed and is just sugar. I eat a lot fruit! It's replaced junkfood for me and I don't feel guilty eating it because it's generally low in calories, is…

yarwell: I do drink almond milk, but I'd need to drink a lot more to meet my daily needs in my diary. dr3wman: I have no idea what my levels actually are, I'm just going by my food diary. I'm just assuming the multi-vitamin is making up for the rest, but I know some things don't absorb if not taken properly or with the…

That's EXACTLY what I thought when I read your typo, haha.

That's what I meant, though, like, finding people in the game who I enjoy playing with. When I first started playing online games--Ragnarok Online and FFXI--I had no problem with that, maybe because back then when people played online games they played them to play with others. But now it seems people just want to play by…

hallo_chief: I love your Sailor V! That's so awesome. ladyraibix: I don't know the character, but you look stunning!

I haven't cosplayed in 3 years ;_; because I've been too busy with my daughter to go to cons. But here's an older pic of me as Mello from Death Note:

Plant-powered, I like that! And I totally agree, btw. When I first switched to trying a vegan diet (no vegetarian in between, just full-out switch) I didn't understand what I was supposed to eat and had a lot trouble trying to think up meal ideas that weren't centered around a slab of meat. But now I'm a lot more creative…

Yes! Haha. Actually, I've only ever cosplayed two girls and one of them was Naoto from Persona 4 who is very boyish. I guess I'm just more comfortable in pants. :D

The faster you lose weight, the more likely you are to gain it all back. No point starving yourself, to put yourself through all that hunger and suffering for a "quick-fix". Most initial weight lost is water weight anyway (and whatever's been built up in your bowels so your stomach shrinks fast). I've slowly lost 20 pounds…
-
Definitely stay away from refined sugar--and white bread! But I really don't think there's anything you can do to reduce the fat on your stomach other than lose more fat all over. Exercises will build up your muscles, but it's not going to affect the fat lying over those muscles. It wasn't until I was officially…

I lost interest in MMOs seven years ago when I realized they're all exactly the same. Make a character, go fight some monsters, get quests to collect something or kill more monsters, get some ugly gear that doesn't match or looks like everyone else, grind, grind, grind... And I'm not even opposed to the grinding (I'm used…

Gaming is such a huge part of my life. I couldn't be with someone who didn't share that. My husband and I are both avid gamers who've been gaming since we could hold a controller. We both like similar games--RPG, Sim, Tactical--but I'm more into jRPGs and he's more into Blizzard games. But we both "get" playing games for…
