  • We ate out a lot. I never paid attention to what I ate, just ate what I wanted, when I wanted. Lots of: - pizza - ice cream - cheese - chocolate chip muffins from Tim Hortons - iced cappuccinos also from ^^^ - cookies - chocolate - more pizza - crap, crap, crap.
  • 5'4 106 lbs I have a size 0 waist, but I fit size 5 pants. The only pants I own smaller than that are severe vanity sizing size 0 jeggings, but they're more like an actual size 4 with stretch. I hate vanity sizes.
  • In video games you can walk into people's houses without getting arrested? You can also carry a sniper rifle, 3 hunting rifles, a rocket launcher, 6 mini nukes, 2 plasma rifles, 20 grenades, 30 land mines..... and 99 potions.
  • This weekend is the first time I actually got to play beyond the character creation and first map. The first Beta was extremely overpopulated and there were difficulties logging in, fighting for mobs, etc. But this weekend I gave it another shot and it was much better! I'm really enjoying it now. I play on Bahamut.
  • Ha! He does blend in very well. :D
  • At the most basic level: yes. As long as you're not over eating you won't get fat. You could eat only Oreos every day and still lose weight, but you're not going to be very healthy, are you?
  • I've seen the latter and I liked Vegucated and Tapped too.
  • You misread my post. I never said you didn't compete for mobs in FFXI. You don't have to in GW2. I just said I really liked the community in FFXI. You were pretty much forced to group up, and everything took so long you had nothing else to do but chat while you waited lol. I remember attempting to go back and play it after…
  • I'm 5'4, 105 lbs, and no matter what I eat, if I overeat I gain weight, if I eat fewer calories I lose weight. It's that simple. I eat a lot better now than I did 4 years ago, but I don't follow any fad diets or pay much attention to sugar intake or specific nutrients. I just eat healthy foods without denying myself things…
  • Just stay away from the frozen ones, they're awful! Always buy them fresh. I like to boil mine until they get soft, then I cut them in half and sautee them in butter until they caramelize and sprinkle them with salt -- yum!
  • Hey, no one's arguing. I just don't want women to think there's a downside to extended breastfeeding seeing as it gets enough negativity as it is.
  • Once again, men must make it all about themselves. Because everything a woman does is obviously to seek the approval of men.
  • This is not true (regarding breastfeeding)! Breastfeeding decreases chances of maternal osteoporosis in later life The odds that a woman with osteoporosis did not breastfeed her baby was 4 times higher than for a control woman. Blaauw, R. et al. "Risk factors for development of osteoporosis in a South African population."…
  • That's incredible!
  • Apple is fine for me too, I eat a honeycrisp every day. :) The foods I listed in my above post are mainly ones that cause a lot of bloating, gas, and diarrhea for me. /tmi As for constipation, I used to have it horribly years ago before I started eating better and giving up dairy (for the most part). Cheese and white bread…
  • This! I recently stumbled on the low FODMAP diet and noticed it had most of my trigger foods in the avoid list. My worst triggers are onions, green leafy vegetables, greasy foods, dairy, potato skins, avocado, certain beans, and green vegetables like broccoli and brussel's sprouts. It really helps if I take Pepto Bismol…
  • The donkey lady in Red Dead Redemption. o_o http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zI9ZgzxIfOM
  • I used to play FFXI too for the first year it was released and loved the community. Unfortunately, FFXIV doesn't stand out from any other MMO. I got into the Beta and the opening area is much better and felt more friendly, as well character customization had more choices (and there's male miqo'te now!), but then you step…
  • It seems that they're more of a just-for-fun thing and they don't actually do any permanent damage? I can't find anything on how to stop them either. I guess you could hide away in a prison for awhile... ;)
  • I married Vilkas. The accent grows on you.
  • I was going to get it when I first heard about it, but then I was like ehhhhh EA has ruined all my favourite games as of late. So I decided to wait until the price went down. Now I'm really glad I did. I think I'll just stick with Sim City 3000. It's pretty much perfect for fulfilling my city building needs.
  • Hypothyroidism is very easy to treat by just taking a specific dose of pill every day. When it's under control, your hormones should be normal and not affect your ability to lose weight. I take 205mcg daily, have been treating it for 15 years, and I had no trouble losing 20 lbs.
  • Loved it. Especially the Street Fighter II characters chatting haha. Also, Jane Lynch is awesome:
  • Actually, you're much more likely to keep the weight off if you don't follow a fad diet. You need to change your lifestyle and continue it for the rest of your life or else you'll fall back into your old ways. But you shouldn't deprive yourself of foods you love, just eat less of them. I eat chocolate every day, but…
  • Wow indeed! You look incredible. That's a lot of weight to lose, congrats!
  • Yeah, don't worry about weight loss right now. Wait at least 3 months and even then you shouldn't restrict too much. I recommend taking a few days to work out how many calories you consume--and track everything, no guessing or cheating!--to give yourself an idea of where you're at so you can adjust from there. I'm still…
  • I looked into it and it doesn't seem to be a direct sequel, but there's some crossovers? It's not really clear. I never played Soul Blazer, but I loved ActRaiser! Building the little towns, heh. Now I want to play Terranigma.
  • One of my favorite games, and also probably the game I've put the most hours into! I got it for PSP as well and was pretty annoyed by the slow load times, but not even that could get in the way of me enjoying that game. I'm a big fan of SNES jRPGs; FFIV, FFVI, Chrono Trigger, Breath of Fire II... and has anyone else here…
  • Yeah... Twilight is in no way a geek thing. It's a raging teenage girl hormone thing. I wouldn't consider vampires geeky, especially ones that sparkle. I'm more into sci-fi too and don't like many high fantasy books. Game of Thrones just feels more medieval with some supernatural aspects thrown in. There aren't any…
  • Agreed! Why does everything have to be about relationships? Like with The Hunger Games, I enjoyed the first book, but then the second is all dumb romance and it drags on and blaaaah. Also agreed! I tried watching Game of Thrones and it was SO BORING, then I read the books--which are amazing and I couldn't put down until I…
