  • Sorry I've been MIA... my weight last monday was 199... (ugh!) I've had a terrible sinus issue/cold... I've not been able to exercise cos of the sinus pressure/pain, but I do feel better today than yesterday, hopefully will feel better tomorrow than today... And...I've given in to comfort foods:blushing: ... I do feel…

  • Jan 1 196 Jan 8 196 Jan 15 196 Heh, at least I'm consistant with the weight! But honestly, my main problem is consistancy... I'm not consistant with my exercise and I am consistant with allowing myself treats... I'll look on the bright side that at least I didn't gain... TCASMEY - Great Job! 3lbs down - woohoo... you go…
  • I weigh everyday (at the same time) and then average all those days for my "actual" at the end of the week...{shrug} it seems to be working for me in that I don't get so depressed when I see a slight normal gain because of water retention Sherri
  • Thanks! :flowerforyou: Needed this today... I binge snacked when I got home from work yesterday....ugh!
  • Me too... but I do record each day and then average it out at the end of the week for my official weight.
  • Hi All, I didn't stay on track over the weekend, I was active but didn't actually get to the gym... iyiyi... and I know it is what I need to do most...:embarassed: I did ok on cal's - not perfect but only 100 over on Sat and 50 over on Sunday... weekends are hardest for me too. So far today I've kept on track with my…
  • Thanks much JJ. You're quite the cheerleader! Jan 1 - 196 Jan 8 - 196 No change, but I really wasn't expecting any...it's only been a week after all. (and a re-starting week at that) I will review my food diary and exercise to see what I can improve for next week. Exercise for today will be 45 min on the treadmill after…
  • lol, yea, he's figured it out too... and I've heard all the "make you mad enough to clean the garage and my truck" lines. I just chuckle cos I know I can control what I clean a lot better than what I would have been eating....

  • Ha! I know what you mean...I'd catch myself eating and think "now, just WHY am I eating this?"... now, instead of heading for the food, I find something to clean. I mean really, deep down scrub clean. Seems to be working for me so far. (but I've not cleaned the fridge yet! lol:laugh: that might not work so well!) Sherri

  • Hi All! I wish I was as good at exercising!. I really have to make myself do it... Did 45 min hill workout level 12 speed 3.2 on the treadmill yesterday. I kept the 3.2 speed for 35 min, then lowered it to 3.0 so I could complete the entire 45 min. My mini goal is to complete the entire workout at 3.2...then I'll change it…
  • Good morning! 4 below? geesh...:noway: I couldn't do it...brrr...anything below 60 is too cold for me. Great exercise goal! Wish I had the time to double up like that. As it is, I'm lucky to get in what I do. I'm going to the base gym after work again today... 45 min treadmill hill workout at level 12; speed of 3.2…
  • What dvd do you have? I have a 10# kb and was looking for a good dvd to use it with... Thanks!
  • The foot bed is comfortable, it took about a day to get used to the off balance feel of the sole. They aren't as off balancing as the skechers...I don't think I could wear the skechers on the treadmill. (I don't have both, but did try both in the store) But they definitely look like a sneaker, not something to wear to work…
  • Medium apple sliced with 1 tbsp peanut butter mixed with 2 tbsp low fat plain yogurt for dipping... yumm!
  • I did 45 min on the treadmill yesterday after work...hill workout, level 12; 3.2 and 3.0 speed. I had to slow it down cos my legs were sore from Sunday's workout and I didn't feel I could complete the 45 min at 3.2. (plus I've been wearing my new reebok easy tones - don't know if that had anything to do with my legs being…
  • Hi all! Hope everyone had a good weekend... I did go to the gym yesterday and did 45 min of the hill workout (level 12) on the treadmill. Approx. 400 calores... woohoo! I'm thinking I'll do this cardio this week M,W and F and then next week I'll add in the 30 day shred on T, Th and Sa... However, and I have to be honest, I…
  • My weigh in for Friday Jan 1 was 196. That's up a pound and honestly, I was expecting it because of the beer, wine and unhealthy finger foods and lack of exercise this past week. So, that lets me know where to start... to cut back if not completely cut out the beer, wine and mixed drinks ---this won't be too hard to do as…
  • Thanks, I'll look into it. I've been trying to go to the gym at least 3x a week for cardio (treadmill mostly); I know I need to add some strength training. I have the 30 day shred dvd and should probably just us it - haha... I've had (very) slow steady weight loss since joining mfp and managed to maintain thru the…
  • I'm in the same boat...so I'm in too! When are we starting?
  • I'd like to join too! 5 pounds a month seems reasonable and I definitely need a support network :blushing: What weight lifting vid do you have?
  • Sorry, I'm no longer close by... (4 hours away now) but I'm from there, we go home a few times every year. Just wanted to say Hi and good luck!
  • Wow, thanks Casper! I was feeling down on myself cos I couldn't complete the shoulder press and shoulder lifts with 5's (have to drop the weight on both)... The 5's were too easy for the bicep curls and chest flys, I'm going to try 8's for those today... Sherri
  • Blombie, Make it about you, for you. Doesn't matter what your friend or hubs does or doesn't do. This is your personal journey. You only control you and the decisions you choose to make. Take it day by day and make the best choices that you can on each day.... You can do this! Sherri
  • Thank you BarbieCat! 55 pounds lost is awesome! I'd love to be "there"... Thinking about it one day at a time it seems "doable" - yanno? The goal doesn't seem so far away if I say that this day I'm going to make the most of it in the best way I know how. And, allow for slip ups and backslides by not be too hard on myself…
  • Thanks basinrunner, I've come around slowly to thinking this way ... I would always blame "things"...and could find plenty of things to point at too! But I've since learned that every time I point away from me, there are 3 other fingers pointing right back at me  Be accountable to yourself first and foremost. My…
