I had considered it, but my neurologist told me it was a bad idea for me because of all of the stress the surgery and rapid weight loss would cause my body...and stress on the body with you have multiple sclerosis is a bad thing. So I started chugging along the diet/exercise way. But everyone has to make their own choices,…

I've got the exact same problem, and I hate it. :(

Before: 269 pounds, size 26 jeans, 3x shirt. Current: 165 pounds, size 8 jeans, M shirt. 20 pounds till goal. Woot! (I'm 5'5".)

Hear, hear! ;)

If it's things I do around the house every day, then no. If it's something I don't normally do but work up a good sweat doing so, then sometimes.

My girls have gotten a little smaller, but they are still proportionate to my body. And I've actually gone UP in cup size. As your band size decreases, your cup size usually goes up. Strange concept, but that's just the way it works. (Big cup size doesn't necessarily mean big boobs. It's how the framing of the cup fits in…

This. Entirely this.

My first week, I lost 6.1 pounds. Second week, 4.4 pounds. Then it's stayed pretty consistent between 1-2 pounds per week, and many weeks of 0.2-1 pound loss as well. ETA: Suppose I should mention stats: Height: 5'5" SW: 269 CW: 166.8 GW: 145 From 269 to 235 it was all diet changes. The 235 to present is diet changes along…

I made this tonight, and man, it was so delicious!! I had the same problem as some of the others who've made this...it was a bit watery. I'm thinking next time I make this (because I think this will be in regular rotation), I will bake it without the salsa and use that as a topping and see if that makes any difference. We…

I'm a singer, and when my acid reflux got severe enough that I was having problems with hoarseness with singing, I said okay, I've gotta do something.

8 months old. Approximately.

Me, too. Good thing I have a therapist, and we're working on this.

(Has anyone else who reached goal weight had plastic surgery on any parts of their body to reduce the loose skin and such?)

I have the "lesser" version of the EatSmart scales, and I like it. It's precise as far as I can tell. It's this one: http://www.amazon.com/EatSmart-Precision-Digital-Bathroom-Technology/dp/B001KXZ808/ref=sr_1_1?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1365114339&sr=1-1&keywords=scale+eatsmart ETA: Something to note with the EatSmart scales: they…

There's not all that much one can do for the arm flab, unfortunately. When you reach your goal weight and maintain, your skin will do some of its own tightening. Some arm toning exercises (tricep kickbacks, etc.) can help, but ultimately, it's a lot of loose skin that there's not much you can do but have surgery. I am…

Again, thank you all so much! We're all rockstars, just remember that!

You all are so wonderful, thank you! I really believe that age-old cliche: if you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything. Well, there's a lot of hard work involved, too, but determination can keep you pushing forward to reach your goals. And it's made even easier by having a community of support. Strength in…
