(I lost 120 pounds, gained 90 back, which is why I am not as thin as my picture. I should change it, I suppose.)

I just met with my surgeon today for my 2nd appointment. Got a surgery date of 11/2. Nervous, and worried about complications like Petersen's Hernia. Did your surgeon talk to you at all about this?

First of all, know that you're not alone, and know that you are not a failure. You, like the rest of us are human. We make mistakes, and you've already taken the first steps of realizing that. Brava! Now, just take things one step at a time. Start keeping your food diary again, and drink an extra glass of water. Take a…

Mine did! Well actually, he stepped off a plane, but that's close right? ;) OP: I echo what many other have said. You have to love yourself, be confident in yourself, and be comfortable in your own skin before love can bloom. Having a relationship does not make you a better person. It can complement your life, but we are…

Amazing post, and exactly what I needed to read. After losing 120 pounds and having gained 20 of them back, I needed a post like this to put things in perspective as I try to regain control. Thank you so, so much.

I needed something new to do (since I had to stop TurboFire for a while while my rotator cuff heals) so I decided to try Rockin' Body. I am uncoordinated when it comes to dancing, but these moves are easy to follow. Shaun T is kind of annoying sometimes, but he is still very motivating, and I can handle little bits of…

Sounds delicious, thanks!

Good post as I'm taking accountability TODAY for my falling off track. Right now, I can think of these two reasons as to why I'm off. 1. Biggest reason I fall off track is emotional reasons. When I get stressed, upset, anxious, depressed, etc., I eat to comfort myself. And I tend to binge eat (though no purging). There's…

I have not laughed this hard in some time.

Bump! Thanks for these alternate options to the other mug cakes I've made! My most used one is the No Pudge knock-off, but I'm getting bored with it. :) (But psst, these are both more than 3 ingredients.)

It is regular practice for a radiologist to read any medical imaging, whether or not a doctor asked them to. Every single MRI I've had (about 20 now due mainly to my having MS) is first read by a radiologist, who sends his/her report, along with the images, to my neurologist. My shoulder MRI was read by a radiologist, who…

What an incredible, inspirational story! You are amazing (but I'm sure you already knew that!) :D

By eating what MFP tells me to eat, and exercising lots (which means eating more than I think I need to). It really is a matter of eating less and moving more, ultimately. But getting that balance is difficult.

That's correct. When I went back home last year, I ran into some old friends at a concert, and they did not recognize me. When I told them it was me, they were utterly shocked. I'm down another 25 pounds since then. Ought to be interesting when I go back next month! I'm hoping to be at my goal by then. :)

I wish I could. There aren't any close enough to me that I know I'd go every day. I have friends and family who go, though, and they love it. Inexpensive, good equipment, clean facility. Just don't drop any weights. ;)

Yeah, the mindset issue is a difficult one to get over. I have a feeling it's going to be an issue for a long, long time. I'm proud of what I've accomplished, certainly. But getting rid of a lot of weight makes a body not look so great, at least at first. I'm hoping my body accepts what I've done and starts to tighten back…

I just wanted to thank everyone for your kind words. They really do make a difference, and are sometimes the bits of encouragement I need to keep going. Thank you all so much!

Nope, you're not alone. I feel the same way. Everyone thinks I should be happy, losing 120 pounds. But they don't realize how emotional of a journey it is. How I still see the fat woman in the mirror, how I still FEEL like the fat woman. Or how I hate how my body looks now because of all the loose skin. You most certainly…

Thank you all! And definitely "released". Those pounds ain't comin' back! :)

Thank you! I hope I can be inspirational to others, just as people have been inspirational to me!

Could you get your own HRM? That would help you figure out what you burned....

Bump. So many awesome ideas!

I've been on Prilosec and pretty much every other proton pump inhibitor, and have had no problems with weight gain.

I was on a plateau for over 2 and a half months. It happens. Mine was because I started upping my strength training. You have to think about what you're doing diet-wise, and what you're doing with your exercise. Has anything changed? Is it really a plateau? How long has it been? A week is not a plateau. A couple weeks is…

This. All of this.

Nope, shouldn't interfere. I lost my gallbladder when I was 13. I'm 35 now. And I'm down 114 pounds.

Adding a little honey helped me.
