  • I am anxious to know how many cals it says you burn, also. I figure my cals through MFP, but I always think that I burn more than it says because I, too, am a sweaty, wore out mess afterwards! I know when I log into MFP for 50 mins of vigorous spinning, it shows that I burn around 499 cals. I'm anxious to see if it's…
  • I agree. Eating under 1200 cals per day is not healthy and your body was likely in starvation mode. Make sure those 1200 you're eating are good cals & not a lot of sodium & sugar in them. I think you should keep it up and see what happens. I don't think you can maintain the 800-900 cals per day. You'll be hungry all the…
  • Okay. I'm one of those that are afraid to try turkey burgers. How do you make them? Do you just patty out ground turkey or are there any other ingredients that you add. I'm willing to give them a try! :)
  • You're taking the first step!! Good luck! You'll do great!
  • When I was seeing a nutritionist, she said that regular oatmeal is not good for you, that you should eat the steelcut oats. You can eat it w/ a little honey or some fresh berries! So good for you!
  • Congrats!! I find that knowing what I am going to eat before going out is a great help as well!
  • I heard the same thing, but I cannot believe that they are eating 1200 cals and burning 6000. There is no way they could possibly have the energy to work out if that is what they are doing. If I burn around 800 calories in a day and only eat 1200 calories, I will have a headache and be very lethargic. I've tried it to lose…
  • I definitely wouldn't log it!

  • Al, Welcome! Mike, I really enjoy the site! It helps me stay on track! Thanks, guys!:flowerforyou:
  • Committed! That's right! That's a much better word. Please do not let these people affect you. I get the same thing, but I think it's because I talk about it alot!! And I talk about it a lot because I'm passionate about what I'm trying to do, but I think the people in our lives really just get tired of always hearing about…
  • I'm back as well. Need to lose 10-15 pounds. I've lost 6.8 lbs of that so far! YAY! My goal is to have lost at least 10 before the date of my sprint triathlon on 8/1.... You can do it! Don't give up! I know that I feel so much better now that I have been watching what I eat:smile: I'm sure that you will too!
  • Normally, on a holiday, I would definitely splurge! But my girlfriend and I decided we would not do that this time, we planned on sticking to our eating plan! We ate great food but within our calories! This is probably a first for me on a holiday and I'm so proud of myself. We had a Weight Watchers ice cream bar for…
  • Thank you for this info. It's good stuff!
  • Whatever it takes, girl!
  • Ran 4 miles today. Moderate pace, felt good. Will try to run another 3 miles tonight!
  • I agree. I would not count the housecleaning as exercise. Congratulations on your progress! You're doing great!

  • I agree. I would not count it as exercise. You can just put your daily activity level as "active." I would definitely try and fit in some exercise though. Even if you have 15 minutes, you can do jumping jackets, go for a walk... anything is better than nothing! Good luck!:happy Also, the 1220 calories sounds about right…
  • Ran 5 miles this morning - trying to run off some of what I ate yesterday on Easter!! Going to run 2-3 tonight! Great job guys!
  • Thanks for putting things into perspective!! I appreciate it!
  • Thank you so much for all your encouraging words! I got on the scale and was up two pounds, but I can do this! It's only two pounds! I will just work out more this week!!! Thank you so much for your support, and btw, you guys are doing awesome!!
  • I'm new to the site. I joined last week and have been doing great, except, like always, there's a holiday or a birthday or some kind of function that throws me off track. I just sat down to diary my food for the day and have eaten double my calories allowed!! I know that I need to just start fresh tomorrow, but can't…
  • Thank you sooo much for this information! I joined this sight 4 days ago and have been confused by the "eating your calories burned." I have not been eating those calories, maybe 30% of them, for fear of not losing weight. But today, while working out, I had no energy during my run and really struggled! I was wondering if…
