Hey there! Here is what my trainer says: Regular cardio burns calories only while you're doing it. Weights burns calories for 48 hours AFTER you finish. HIIT burns calories for 72 hours AFTER you finish.

If you don't have. HRM, monitor your heart rate on the machines every 5 minutes and then enter your data on the website below and you'll get an accurate burn. I have noticed that it averages out for me. http://www.calories-calculator.net/Calories_Burned_By_Heart_Rate.html

if I know I'm going to have a hard time getting myself going in the morning, I sleep in my work out clothes. True story. My shoes are on the floor next to my bed. I slip them on and go. No excuses when I wake up dressed to work out. :)
