Hi! I am 16 weeks + 6 days pregnant today with baby number one! I am also looking for some fit pregnancy friends on MFP to help keep me accountable. I just opened up my diary again so hoping that will help too. I had Awful food aversions to almost all of my normal healthy foods in my first trimester. I am sure I gained a…

It might be their software. I have a Fitbit One and did not wear it at all on Sunday nor did I exercise and it gave me about 250 calories on MFP. I plugged it into my computer and saw there was an update. Hopefully that fixed it. I ended up disconnecting my Fitbit from my account.

I am already friends with Lillyloooo, but other IF'ers feel free to add me! I practice 5:2 (or sometimes 4:3 if I need to cut weight). Mainly stick with 5:2. And yes, I will most likely do this for as long as I am able. I no longer do it for just weight loss. Doing it now to get and stay lean. I also keep track of my…

Agreed!! And you are less likely to "fall off the wagon" when you get to eat normal calories 5 days per week!

Try adding some protein to your oatmeal. Helps make it more filling. I add protein powder and a little natural unsweetened cocoa and a Stevia packet. Also if you double the fluid and cooking time but use same amount of oats you get an even bigger bowl of oatmeal. Or maybe do a protein shake for breakfast that you can take…

Add me too! I was on it for 4 successful months and then for the last month and a half was convinced to try losing my last little bit the 'normal" way. Never Again!! I failed miserably and gained about 4 pounds back. So, I am back on it for good! I have discovered I cannot eat like a "normal" person without overdoing it!…

I started alternate day fasting (only three days per week) on April 1, 2013 and lost 20 pounds. I hit a plateau about three weeks ago and recently started doing 16:8. Finally broke through the plateau by doing 16:8. Love that I can still fast, but eat everyday! I am at 115 and my goal is 112. Almost there! :)

This sounds great!! Definitely have to try this! I will be soooo happy if this really does taste like cheesy potatoes! :)

This is GREAT advice! Thanks for this! Now I just need to get out of this plateau so I can lose those 4 extra pounds. I am happy where I am at now, but have been wanting to lose 4 more so I have some wiggle room. That post really explains a lot!

You have described me to a T. I am EXACTLY the same way!. I am four pounds away from my goal but right now I have seemed to plateau. So I don't know whether to continue dieting or go into maintenance because I do not know if this is the weight I am meant to be or if I really have just hit a plateau. I am now scared to go…

I did Alternate Day IF (three fasting days per week consisting of only 500 calories) for four months and lost 20 pounds. I recently switched back to 1200 net calories daily to try and lose my last 4 pounds and transition into maintenance but I am pretty much just maintaining. I was down a pound but now I am back up that…

Thanks! This is good to know. I have been plateauing with my weight so I looked through my log and I am ALWAYS over in sugar. BUT, I eat LOTS of fruit. Now I am not freaking out so much after reading your post. Thanks! Now I just need to figure out how to lose these 4 pounds!! Maybe my body does not want to lose them??

I totally agree with this. I hear this from friends that used to be skinnier than me, but now I am in better shape than. I also hear it from friends that were about the same size as me when I first started dieting. These are the same friends that I tried getting to go on this healthy journey with me but they came up with…

Great idea on increasing calories slowly. I think I may have to do that too! I have four more pounds to lose before I am in maintenance!! Yay! Getting some really good ideas on this new board/topic.

I find that it helps to plan my Up day the night before. That way after planning breakfast, lunch, and dinner, I know how many extra calories I have left that I can spread through out the day. Its easier that way then trying to eat everything at the end of the day and looking around my kitchen for food just so I can reach…

Sounds great! Always looking for good Chicken recipes!

I definitely need to try this!! Thanks for sharing it!!

I am 5'1" and currently 120 lbs (starting weight in April was 136). My original goal was 116 but I am now shooting for 112. The closer I get to my goal the tougher it is to get the weight off... But, I am hanging in there!! I am looking for active members to help keep me motivated so please feel free to add me!

Hello, I have been doing the Alternate Day Diet since April 1st and have lost 16 pounds! I have 4 more pounds to meet my original goal. Do not give up on it. Sometimes it takes your body a while to adjust to new eating habits. I do 500 cal down days on MWF, 1600 cal up days on Tue, Thurs, 1200-1500 cal Medium days on…

I started the alternate day diet April 1st and have lost a total of 18 lbs so far (well... I gained 2 lbs over 4th of July weekend)! My original goal was to lose 20 lbs, but now I am shooting for a total of 24lbs. My Down Days are MWF and I do a Medium Day on Saturday. Sunday, Tues, and Thursdays are Up Days. I count my…
