  • On sunny days I prefer to keep covered with a lightweight/light colored shirt to keep the sun off. It's actually cooler than just a sports bra. Don't worry about others, do it if you're comfortable with it. Just be sure to wear sunscreen!
  • I want to try Zumba again now. I went to one class and the teacher couldn't keep rhythm and it was just awful. Everyone here looks great, and dancing is the one thing I'm good at, so I'm going to try to find a different class.
  • She apparently was being sexually harassed at work on all fronts, and I can't blame her for wanting to get out of that workplace if things were indeed as bad as she says they were. But giving up working entirely is NOT the solution. Either talk to your HR person or work somewhere else.
  • Millenium Actress. It was beautiful and intriguing, but it was purposely written to confuse you about which events were real and which were only movies she starred in. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Millennium_Actress
  • I really love gnocchi and have made it by hand before, but I honestly can't say homemade is worth it compared to the kind you buy in a box. The amount of time and effort to make all those tiny little pillows isn't worth the slight flavor improvement compared to the vacuum-sealed boxes you can buy in the pasta aisle. Or…
  • My mom noticed my pants kept falling down even before I did. I'd gotten used to pulling them up occasionally just because they were stretched, she was the one to notice how often I had to do it and how they gave me saggy-diaper-butt even when they were up. 9lbs, about halfway to my goal.
  • I usually don't crave, except about four times a year I NEED McDonald's french fries. Luckily a small will do me. I have more trouble with cramps so bad I was prescribed pain killers just to function. No exercise those days...
  • Most of the girls who have them in photos are leaning forward:
  • You want a low calorie fat that doesn't have a lot of "chemicals" in it? Good luck with that, we've been trying to find it for years. Have you tried not putting any oil in there at all? I cook mushrooms in a dry pan and the moisture in the mushrooms makes them perfectly slimy. I don't eat them, but the people I cook them…
  • I think it's like this: sugar is sugar, but sugar doesn't matter for most people (diabetics notwithstanding). The reason you should avoid foods with a lot of added sugar is more because they tend to have more calories and fewer nutrients, whereas fruits with naturally-occurring sugars are generally lower in calorie and…
  • Most cheeses. If it's not mozzarella or parmesan, I can't eat it. Swiss and provolone especially bad. Deep fried anything. The hard crunch hurts my pressure-sensitive teeth. ETA: Agreed about store cake. Ever notice how store-bought chocolate cake tastes like dish soap?
  • That's because the calories are entirely dependent on what kind of ice cream you use. Pick your ice cream then do the math yourself.
  • My acne is getting worse, especially along my upper lip. It's getting painful and medication isn't helping.
  • I don't eat them because they taste like battery acid, no other reason. I had a friend once who got migraines whenever she ate aspertame, but that's rare. vingogly: While your point still stands, are actually eating the peach and apricot pits? :P
  • I would eat Peanut Butter Multigrain Cheerios for every meal if I could. They're whole grain (which makes you wonder why they don't advertise whole grain instead of multigrain, which means nothing), have I think 110 calories per 3/4C serving, and taste like rainbows.
  • I was I think 26 under. Had a light breakfast and a couple of light snacks before my late, very large lunch-dinner (linner?). I ate only a small portion of everything that was available, except the chips which I didn't miss. Even got a margarita in there! No dessert, though, which was fine because I didn't make any. It was…
  • Guys say they like girls without makeup, then when we don't wear it they think we're ill. Guys think makeup is fire engine red lips and blue eyelids and that's it.
  • "CONCLUSIONS: These data do not support the hypothesis that higher consumption of milk or other food sources of calcium by adult women protects against hip or forearm fractures." http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9224182 Not preventing fractures and actively causing them are two completely different things.
  • That's the plan. Just trying to explain to people who "don't get it."
  • It's really easy for some of us to go drastically under our calorie goal without meaning to. My calorie goal daily is 1400 without exercise, and yesterday I ate: 3/4c Peanut Butter Multigrain Cheerios with skim milk (which I didn't drink, so only a little was actually consumed) 1/2 large grapefruit without sugar 10oz black…
  • I wonder if you could train yourself to not binge on these trigger foods. Don't keep any in your house, but maybe have a friend come over once a week with a slice of pizza for each of you. You eat the single slice and have no opportunity to eat more, so you either stop there or work out your craving on more healthful foods…
  • Best: Reduced traffic from the elementary school directly behind my house and no more moms parking in front of my mailbox. Worst: Boob sweat.
  • No problem. Glad to help. Edited because I hit Reply instead of Quote.
  • When your boobs reach a certain size, all shirts that aren't turtlenecks are going to show cleavage. And turtlenecks present a whole other set of problems.
  • I appreciate hearing other peoples' advice. Some days I'm only 50 calories below my target, but today I just finished dinner at 860 of 1400. Multivitamins can help, but I'm way below my protein.
  • Every animated Disney movie but The Lion King. I enjoyed TLK2 more than the original as a kid. I've never seen 1 1/2. ETA: I consider Toy Story a Pixar property, even though they were a joint venture. Pirates of the Caribbean. Spider-Man. Star Wars. Though the prequels sucked, the animated universe is surprisingly mostly…
  • I like sparkling water because you get the fizz of soda. It's a little bitter/tart because of the carbonation, but if you drink diet soda then you're used to that. I add lemon slices and lavender or mint from my garden sometimes. You could make some Italian sodas by mixing sparkling water with flavored syrups. You can use…
