Just a question, how many calories are you eating daily on average?
-

It's not even light beers vs. regular beers. Beer is inherently fat free. Did this person mean calories? Because even that's usually wrong by virtue of measurements. The ounces you use to measure the weight of fries are different than the ounces used to measure the volume of beer.

If you can make it fit into your calorie goals, there's absolutely nothing wrong with pizza and beer. Heck, even if they don't fit, one day isn't going to kill you. Figure out how much over your limit is personally acceptable for you for a non-holiday and have that many pieces/bottles. Your macros may not be on the mark,…

Two weeks is within the time frame that your body is retaining water to repair your muscles. You wouldn't be building muscle yet, but also I'm not sure if you'll build any noticeable muscle at all doing Pilates. It's designed more to retain muscle than to build more. I may be mistaken. The good news is it shouldn't be long…

I absolutely agree that she shouldn't be fired because of these racy but apparently non-pornographic photos, but that's also precisely why I turned down nude modeling offers in art school when I was trying to get my teaching certification. It doesn't matter how tasteful and beautiful these photos can be, someone will…

I go through phases. One stretch of a few months, I'll mindlessly snack on plain almonds while cooking because they're right next to the stove. Other stretches, absolutely nothing. I thought my weakness was Nutella, but I've had some in my house for a few months and keep forgetting it's there. I had toast this morning and…

I mix 1T each of PB2 and water and spread it on a piece of bread, fold it over for half a sandwich when I'm low on calories but want more than soup for lunch.

You look like you've lost even more weight than you have. Your guy friends probably won't say anything because it's apparently a thing that guys won't compliment other guys. My dad lost a little weight but it was really obvious in his face, and the first thing people asked him was if he was sick because he'd been at the…

The photo on the kettlebell ad is definitely Photoshopped. She's taller than a full-sized window and if she opened her hands she could touch the ceiling...

Nope! One slightly older brother who likes about 90% of the same stuff as me. And he got most of that bad attitude out of him when we were young.

Tools designed for women also tend to have smaller handles for our generally smaller hands. My mom has that pink set and she loves it.

Nothing. I'm surrounded by people who accept the things I like, even if they don't share the interest, and I don't have to associate with people who would give me a hard time for liking what I do. It helps that I only have to deal with a small number of people on any given day due to working from home with a very small…

The simple answer is slightly less butter. Unless you're baking or the sauce is mostly butter, you can usually cut the amount down. When frying or sauteeing I usually use Pam, but some people prefer to put regular olive oil in a spray bottle and use that. You cut down on the amount you use by a lot.

Quote this post and see what I did. You forgot the / in the closing

When you whip heavy whipping cream, it becomes whipped cream. It won't be sweetened (unless you sweeten it) so it won't taste the same, but it's functionally the same thing as Cool Whip or Rediwhip. It's the same as buying your lasagna from Russel Stover's frozen as opposed to making it yourself. It would be difficult to…

Eating and drinking coffee are two separate ideas. "Do you [eat] or [drink coffee]..."
-
My fallback position is "don't be snarky to people who genuinely don't understand." Better lesson retention and fewer hurt feelings.

Not going to lie, I didn't see the Search button up top for a couple of weeks until someone pointed it out to someone else. And I've been using internet forums for more than 15 years. I realize that's more of a reflection on me, but it happens.
-
But to the demographic that uses the internet almost exclusively for Facebook and reading blogs, which is a large portion of this site because they tend to be middle aged overweight housewives, that's exactly what they think it should be. The best course of action is to gently correct them.

Isn't asking on these forums an attempt to learn about things?
-
And that's part of the issue, that Google tailors searches based on your history unless you choose to turn that feature off. When I search "raspberry ketones" without having searched for it before, the first several entries (excluding Wikipedia, which has a bad rep among some people for some reason) are positive…
-
The majority of these searches bring back results saying these are good ideas. That's why we have this problem in the first place!

You lost points for being too literal. "Here we go again" and "This is going to be good" are insulting the poster. You know this. You're not stupid.

Here's one: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1176283-raspberry-ketones?hl=raspberry+ketones#posts-18375397 Here's the thing: people say they're not making fun of the person, but the product. But the way they make fun of the product they're also saying the person is an idiot for not knowing it's not going to help.…

OP1: I'm not losing weight, what's wrong? Veteran Member: You're probably eating more than you realize. New-ish Member: You're putting on muscle! OP1: I'm putting on muscle! Veteran Member: No, and you're an idiot for not listening to me! OP2: I'm not losing weight, what's wrong? Veteran Member: You're eating more than you…

As someone who just kind of likes ice cream but loves whipped cream, thank you!

This is a plank. It's a lot harder than it looks.
-
The simple answer is yes. But understand that the calories you're told you're burning from the My Fitness Pal database, any exercise equipment you're using, and even your heart rate monitor to a degree are just estimates, and usually estimate more than you're actually burning. A safe bet is to start by eating half of your…

It doesn't do squat for "detoxing" or weight loss, but it is really tasty. So it has that going for it, I guess. I think that's one of the saddest things, that this brilliant, talented surgeon has destroyed his professional reputation by claiming to be an "expert" on things he knows nothing about. But he's raking in the…
