  • I weigh myself every morning, after I use the bathroom. I have 100 more pounds to lose, so weighing in everyday helps to keep me motivated and helps me keep track of my progress :)
  • I can't handle a lot of the foods I used to be able to, and I can't eat large portions anymore, either. I hate the way I feel when I am stuffed- I'd honestly rather feel hungry. I don't eat fried foods anymore and don't like fast food. Anything really rich, from cheese sauce to cheesecake, is hard for me to stomach. I…
  • Not doing anything for Easter, but I am having some chocolate Marshmallow eggs...just making sure I stay within my calorie goal. :)
  • I was doing well avoiding all Easter candy goodness, until my neighbor came over with a lovely Easter basket full of goodies for me. I caved and had two chocolate marshmallow eggs and two mini caramel eggs. I am not feeling too badly about this as I figure- Easter happens just once a year, so I am going to eat my Easter…
  • I have either Fruit and Nut Medley or Red Berries Special K cereal with Trim milk and two glasses of water. I love my breakfast and look forward to it when I wake up :)
  • I workout between 2 and 3 hours a day, 7 days a week. I do an hour and a half of Tae Bo in the morning and then another 45min. to an hour and a half Tae Bo workout at night. I am waiting on my weights to be delivered and once they are, I will start weight lifting 3-4 days a week as well. I feel absolutely terrible if I…
  • This is a lifestyle change and in order to stay with it for life, you will have to allow yourself the occasional treat or special food you enjoy :) I've been at this since November 2011 and I've had many, many days of going well over my target daily calorie intake. I just workout a bit harder and start fresh the next day.
  • I don't eat if I am not hungry, regardless of how many calories I have left. I used to eat all the time, even when I wasn't hungry, and that's how I ended up being morbidly obese. Now, I listen to my body.
  • Pop. I used to drink 2-3 liters a day, but cut it out completely. I had a small glass of coke, last month, and it tasted horrible.
  • I will lose 100 more pounds and it will happen within the next 12 months :)
  • Any type of sea food- I can't be around any of it.
  • If I listened to every half-wit who told me to 'suck it up', I would be dead. In fact, a failed attempt at suicide is what got me on antidepressants and that saved my life. It is highly insensitive and, quite frankly, ignorant to tell people with a mental illness to 'suck it up' or 'get over it'. My favorite one is when…
  • Auckland, New Zealand. I am originally from Detroit, Michigan- USA
  • Over
  • According to MFP, I burn between 2,000 and 3,000 calories a day from my exercise- I know that's not accurate! But, I always log my daily exercise just as I log my daily calorie intake. I am hoping to get a HRM soon, so I may have a better idea of the actual calories I am burning :)
  • I've lost 75 pounds in 5 months by doing cardio and eating healthy. I started off just walking, as that was all I could manage. In December, I started doing Tae Bo for an hour a day. Now I do 2-3 hours of Tae Bo a day. I just bought myself some weights and will start strength training, but I will continue to do Tae Bo…
  • I've been taking an antidepressant since January 2011. I was on a high dose- 60mg a day, now I am on 40mg a day. I have chronic Body Dysmorphic Disorder and without medication, I am suicidal and unable to function. So, for me, medication is necessary. I found that the first couple of months of being on Citalopram, I was…
  • An Irish Setter and a Chihuahua :)
  • I eat the same breakfast, lunch and dinner just about every single day and I workout 7 days a week. I also make sure to drink 10 glasses of water a day- I have two glasses of water with each meal and at least 4 more glasses throughout the day. I haven't gotten bored with my menu yet, and it's been 5 months of the same…
  • PMS is horrible for me! The emotional part aside, my food cravings are just terrible. I can eat from the time I wake up until the time I go to bed, and that's exactly what I used to do. Now, I recognize that this time of the month is going to have this effect on me, and I just deal with cravings. I have 70% dark chocolate…
  • Being able to wear my seatbelt again. I hadn't been able to do that for the past three years.
  • Eating more does not work for me; eating less and working out everyday works for me. I eat around 1100-1300 calories a day, though I usually stay right around 1200 calories. I am, by no means, starving. I workout for two-three hours a day and don't eat back my exercise calories. I also make sure to drink 10 glasses of…
  • I quit smoking the same day I started my weight loss journey- talk about stressful! I quit cold turkey. It's only been 5 months but I don't miss smoking at all. I smoked 2 packs a day- so I figure it I can do it, anyone can. The first month was terrible, and exercising was so hard as I was much heavier then and my…
  • I eat around 1200 calories a day, sometimes less, sometimes a little more- but, I never go over 1400 calories. This works very well for me. At 1200 calories, I am not starving, or anywhere near it. I eat a lot of protein, fruits and vegetables every day and I make sure to drink 10-12 glasses of water a day. I also exercise…
  • I don't care what other people eat, that's their business. But, for me, personally, I started this weight loss journey not just to lose weight but to get healthy. I allow myself a 'treat' now and then, but the point of having a treat is that it is a special occasion thing and not an everyday thing. I wouldn't feel right…
  • Typically, I have a cheat day once a week and will continue to do so. It keeps me on track for the rest of week and makes me feel like I am not depriving myself of anything. I don't go crazy, but I do enjoy foods I wouldn't normally allow myself to have. It gives me something to look forward to.
  • I gain 5 pounds every month and even though I know it'll go away within a couple of days, it always mortifies me!
  • The time of the month is always terrible for me! I could easily eat everything in sight and still want more. I force myself to work out everyday, even if the cramping is bad (I actually find exercise helps with getting rid of cramps), and I do allow myself some chocolate. I have the 70% cocoa dark chocolate- about 5…

  • I eat chicken the same way, everyday, but I love it. It's simple and tastes great. I use boneless, skinless chicken breasts and cook them in my George Foreman Grill, with Italian seasoning and cracked black pepper. Once fully cooked, I cut it up (looks like I have more on my plate!) and drizzle olive oil over the pieces,…
