I eat mostly vegetarian, because meat grosses me out a lot. I will eat meat, but not often. I also suffer from IB and eating meat is harsh for me to digest. I don't know why a complete stranger would approach you like that and throw their opinions at you. I wouldn't do that to others that enjoy meat, but I get a lot of…

From what I know, to make a complete protein you need to obtain 9 essential amino acids that the body does not create. All animal proteins are complete proteins which mean they contain all of the 9 AA's. The protein grams for beans or rice stay the same whether eaten together or at different times. To get all the essential…

Web search Post Punk Kitchen and Fat Free Vegan. These two sites have tons of vegetarian recipes.

I'm addicted to Tazo's green tea and I have it every day. Do I think it aids in weight loss? No.

I agree with going to a run store. I ended up needing a stability shoe. Right now I have been using Asics Kayano's for about 3 years and I really like them. I might change them up next time around and look at some Mizuno's.

I prefer outside, but I use the treadmill most of the time. The problem with running outside is asphalt(roadways) is way better on the body's joints than concrete sidewalks. In my town, people seriously do not know how to drive so I am scared to run in the designated road "run" paths. I wish there was a local park that had…

I don't drink milk, because my body does not agree with it. I stick with unsweetened almond milk and soy milk. Soy milk for my coffee and almond milk for cereal or shakes and smoothies. Personally, I love almond milk but I do think there is a slight aftertaste that I don't like in coffee. Calorie wise unsweetened almond is…

IMO, I think it doesn't matter whether you do 3 meals or 6 meals. I like 3 bigger meals with one snack. But I have noticed that on days that I do end up eating 5 or 6 smaller meals, it's harder the next day to eat a bigger meal at one sitting. I do think it becomes a lifestyle change. Some people are not hungry in the…

I was a strict vegetarian a couple of years ago, due to digestive issues. I currently eat whatever I want, but I have a lot of days that I do not eat meat. Some good and popular books are: The China Study, Veganist, The Engine 2 Diet, and Skinny B*tch. There are also a lot of great cookbooks that can help you transition.…

I eat an Amy's frozen meal 4 days a week for work due to limited time and lack of choices. It doesn't hinder my weight loss. I just watch my sodium intake for the rest of the day.

I have those same shoes(GEL Kayano 17s). I had the Kayano 16s and had to have these when they came out. I haven't been really satisfied with these like I was with the 16s. Just today after my run, I had to adjust the shoe a couple of times which really annoyed me considering that they don't have much mileage. I think I'm…

I have had a sensitive knee for years and I am a runner. I don't like to do squats just to be on the safe side, but I do utilize weight machines that target the hamstrings and quads like the leg extension or the sitting leg press. My doctor and a trainer says these exercises will help strengthen the knee naturally. I…

Definitely visit a run store to determine what shoe is best for you. I have been wearing Asics GEL-Kayanos for a couple of years and I haven't had the urge to switch yet.

I had a shin splint episode a while back and it wasn't pretty. I make sure to always stretch my shins after every workout that I do, especially if it involves running. Look up stretching moves for your shins. I keep ice packs in the freezer so I can apply them after a longer run or workout. I also went to a local run store…

I'm not sure about the gel, but my mother(in her 70s) has been drinking an aloe vera mix for ages. She usually takes the jelly inside of the aloe and blends it with water and drinks it. She swears that it keeps her healthy.

Your menu looks vegan, not vegetarian, because I don't see dairy or eggs listed. If you don't feel hungry with your current meal plan, than you might want to up your fats. Nut butters, avocado, good oils like coconut or olive, and maybe some hummus with veggies or a salad should give some extra needed calories. You can add…

I was going to do a half marathon a month ago before an injury sidelined me. Going from what I have read in various websites and magazines, I was not going to carb load before the race. I might have had a dinner with carbs in it, but I was mainly going to focus on the pre-race meal. I was also going to have one or two…

Maybe that is with one of their signature sauces like lemon butter. I usually get my sauce on the side and the tilapia is grilled with no added oils that I can see. I actually love Bonefish, because they will cater to your needs the majority of the time.

I'm in my 30's and I stretch before and after I run. I suffered a pinched nerve/sciatica episode that took ages for me to feel 100%. When I stretch, I aim for my back and hip area to prevent future problems.

If you are looking at adding in fat but not much more in the carb department, you could do eggs(if you eat them), nut butters, and avocados.

For my chocolate cravings, I like Jello's chocolate mousse from their Temptation's line, one package of M'Ms pretzels, or some type of Skinny Cow dessert.

Currently, I do once a week at the same time.
