I feel your pain. I had the same issues. Menopause was the cure for me.

absolutely walls first. you always paint high to low. you do ceilings before walls. paint walls first, drip on the floor, no big deal. do floors first then walls, drip on the floor, spend time repainting the floors. ask your husband how much time he wants to spend with a brush in his hands.
