  • Laying around, very nice;))
  • I made extra special time for both the mom and mom-in-law, plus I worked today and helped a few tender hearted students figure a way to approach their recess/friend concerns:)
  • Whew, planks are tough-- just think how easy they'll be by the end of the month:))
  • Good luck to both of you!! I'm a water drinker; I'm not sure how it became a habit:))
  • Whew, easier today because I was at the gym from lift & weight class so just bopped into workout room to do today's challenge before my steam room reward ahhh:))
  • I recently saw " Irish Nachos " on a menu so I tried making some only I used baked potato and a wee bit of cheese with green onion & bacon. Then I included Tziki and some avocado--- which made them more multicultural than just Irish Nachos:) Anyhow turned out good and not too many things to break down and count;)
  • March Madness has begun:))
  • I've missed the shredding for recycling for a long time so I sorted and shredded everything until the shredder got tired & quit running :)
  • Whoo Hoo, around the house -- Thanks for the fun challenge
  • Hi everyone, I've just returned to MFP. This time, I hope that joining a group might help me stay motivated. As for water, it's an easy challenge for me to get started on. The Monthly March looks scary & challenging, but I'm climbing on board there too! Debi ( Oregon)

  • I'm hoping to say good-bye to 20 by July and the final 10 by fall! I keep saying slow and steady, which means that losing only .7 lbs/week really can add up if I don't backslide. :)
  • Feel free to add me. I turned 55 this year and have about 37-40 pounds to lose. I lost 12 then gain half back and now I'm working at getting back in the good habit ~ habit ! I want to have at least 37 gone by my 37th anniversary next July :)
  • Hey, I washed mine and I remembered while it was in the dryer. It still works like a charm. I wear it on my bra, never moves or falls off.
  • I have one and I love, love, love it. Having an issue with the Fitbit site right now, but I'm sure it will resolve itself or the customer service will help me. I can't imagine not having it!
  • I know exactly what you mean! We always get together and have tons of food. I try to get a small plate for starters and then I drink a ton of water, cop to a upset tummy if necessary ~ so I don't always say much about the my weight loss program because it doesn't seem to be taken seriously anyhow. So I guess I don't…
  • Feel free to add me too!
  • It will be ok. Listen to all of these folks with the awesome words of wisdom!
  • Marla, You are definitely in the right place. I will mention that I recently purchased the Fitbit, (it's listed on the tools) I absolutely love it. It has helped me start moving faster and it does such a great job of measuring my steps, miles, stairs etc. done each day. I can't bear to be without it now, because it is so…
  • As a public school teacher, I have mixed feelings about uniforms. I can see the advantage of taking the status and distractions away. I know in my elementary school classroom, I have an issue with "Droopy Drawers". If a kid can't get down to sit on the floor because his pants hang too low, I have a sweet supply of belts…
  • Wow, pretty amazing comment. She probably didn't even realize how she sounded. Don't take it personally, you've really lost a lot in that amount of time. It's amazing how the 1# or so a week really seems to help us get on track and keep on track. You're pretty inspiring!
  • I did so-so on my goals last week. Easter dinner was hard for me. I just wanted to eat and eat and eat. I didn't, however, but I did overeat. This week, I'm going to try and make it to exercise class at least 3 times this week. Also, I'm trying to walk at a quicker pace at work. Thanks for having this space and check-in…
  • Great! I'm going to check them out. I'm not sure about a link, but I followed the Tools up here and went to the Fitbit site. I bought me one of those Fitbit gadgets (cute and tiny but spendy ~ $99.00) but I love, love, love it! It measures my walking, stairs, miles walked, calories burned, even a sleep monitor all with…
  • Feel free to add me as a friend. I've been doing MFP since January (even tho it says only 30 days ~ I accidentally deleted my entire acct. hmmm....about 30 days ago. Anyhow, I've used Weight Watchers and other groups like that, but I think that MFP is meeting my needs because it's so easy. I love the posts and the…
  • Mine is set for 1# / week. I usually manage 1 # or a little less each week. I'm satisfied that my weight is going away for ever. I hope to be at goal by November of December.
  • I use: I Can, I Will, I Did for making good food & exercise choices, as well as, life in general!
  • I eat my daily calories and then some of the exercise calories so my body won't go into survival mode and stop burning fat. Everytime I don't eat enough, I get that message that tells me to eat more. I usually try to leave some behind. I'm losing about 1/2 to 1 lb a week. I recently bought a Fitbit to measure my movement…
