Congrats! I remember that day as well! It's great to be out of that obese category and on the way to a healthy BMI. Great work!

What a great story! You should be proud of yourself for inspiring your son to live a healthy lifestyle, and for all you have accomplished.

Congratulations on your success overcoming your eating disorder. That's a huge accomplishment, although it can be an ongoing battle. I agree that a lot of actresses and models are too skinny and don't look healthy. Don't worry about achieving some ideal look. Focus instead on making yourself the best, healthiest person…

Give your family and friends time to get used to the new you. If they come around, great! If they continue being negative, you…

Big congratulations on the size 12 pants! That's great! Yes, sizes have changed over time. The manufacturers try to keep size 10 as about average, and as the average woman has gotten larger, so have the measurements for any given size.

Cosplay is a fine reason to lose weight. You get the health benefits as well! Congratulations on your loss so far!

I can believe that cars would stop more for a thinner, more attractive person. Congratulations on your faster walking speed, less waiting, and shorter commute! Extra time in the mornings is priceless!

It's a free country. Folks are free to eat what they like outside of cities that want to impose restrictions on unhealthy foods. I wouldn't have it any other way, and in fact I disagree with countries that put a "fat tax" on butter, ice cream, and the like. That's not the right approach to improve public health. We eat out…

That's a fan-damn-tastic accomplishment! I bow before you! :drinker:

My family supports me, but my friends never say a word. Most of them are more overweight than I was, so I understand that it can be hard to see someone else losing weight. It makes it harder to accept the excuses that we make for ourselves. My MFP friends are here for me, and this really is a personal journey.

Lol, that's awesome! I agree that most pastries don't appeal to me now. They are too sticky sweet and don't really taste good enough to be worth the calorie cost. Now home-made cinnamon rolls would be another story, which is why I haven't made them in a year or so. My willpower only goes so far!

Potassium is not required to be listed in the nutrition facts, and so many foods in the database list zero potassium when they actually do have some. It's very hard to know how much potassium you are actually getting because of that. I consistently come in low on that, and wish it were listed with more foods.
