Glad you're here. I've been doing this for a little over a week and have lost 7 pounds. I know that rate can't continue but it sure felt good!

I've had my fitbit for a week and I love it. And it interfaces with mfp really well too.

Having the app on my phone has helped me a lot. Just keeping track of stuff I eat has made me less likely to eat that "impulse" food.

Wow! Those probably are pretty decent.

Cottage cheese mixed in with yogurt and wheat germ. But before that I had three of those Cadbury mini chocolate eggs

The Y that I go to has a couple of Adaptive Motion Trainers... they are zero impact but still give a great cardio workout. A half hour burns 400 calories. Maybe your gym has one.

Welcome! I've only been doing mfp a week so I'm no expert but what has amazed me this past week is that as long as I keep track of everything I eat and log it, I eat less and I eat healthier. A friend said there are psychological reasons why that is so but all I care about is that it works. Also FG, I think your goals are…

As long as you aren't suffering during the day or taking naps throughout the day then I would say that you're fine. But I would mention it the…

I know how absolutely disgusting fast food is but I tell ya, when I drive by and I smell those fries, it's a big temptation. But I've found when I resist once, it makes resisting the next time easier. And I also have learned to drive by those places faster.

I'm with ya... logging everything has been more than an eye-opener, it's been a mind blower! ConcordPhil

51 here. The more I get in shape and rationally watch what I eat, the better I feel. Attitude has a lot to do with it too. I love the mfp app and I track everything. Consequently I've cut out all the impulse eating and have lost 7 pounds in my first week, which has given me great hope for the future.
