Getting comfortable in/with the drops takes time. In the meantime, a decent shop will give advice on basic fit. I, for, one completely and totally recommend eventually paying for a complete bike fit (covers shoes (cleats)), saddle position and width, bar height and width.

I buy produce at Aldi. If it's in season it's dirt cheap. Otherwise I only buy what I need for that day or the next.

Don't worry about pace or time. Pick a distance (I started at 1.2 mi) and run as much as you can, walk as much as you like. Add a bit of distance every 7-10 days. . . .

@MeeseeksAndDestroy , @synchkat Speaking of GPS name mangles. Some are inexcusable. Road name here is "Briley Parkway" (TN 155). GPS pronounces it "Brilley" (rhymes with "really"). Cracks me up every time I hear it.

Surprisingly, it is NOT a mispronunciation as with many things might be here in the south. In fact, it's pretty close: "de Montbrun"
