Same problem. I have decided to just not keep any snacks in the house unless it's fruit, nuts or yogurt and then a limited supply.

Getting up at 6am and running for 3 miles is pretty darn inspiring! You'll have your "mojo" back in no time. When you feel like reaching for cake and chocolate just get up and out and go run. Great for your body and spirit.

My ftbit recorded 7 miles today!! Love walking! I usually do at least 3 miles a day at Fort Benjamin Park in Newport. Great place to walk. They have a one mile fitness trail.
