He is most definitely not in to fitness. But, he works a manual labour job, so that's quite a bit of physical exertion. That being said, he is supportive of me going to the gym and understands that I feel better when I go.

Absolutely. It's only $9.99 it's not a huge investment.

Not enough. Cheese, and meat are my most frequent. I need to get back to weighing everything that I don't use a measuring cup for.

Brastop.com <-- UK website with great prices and sales.

I've done it, but only from my desk to the printer (over one workstation). Any further than that and I put my shoes on. My shoes are always off at my desk. I hate shoes and if I could get away with never wearing them, I would.

I recommend going outside late in the evening (or alternately early morning). I find it harder to be motivated in the heat, but you have to do what you can.

Eat. You don't have to eat until you're full and feel sick, but just eat something. Set a time for yourself to have a small breakfast/lunch/dinner.

I broke a 9-month plateau last month, but the weight has been slow to come off since. I'm lucky to lose 1/2 lb a week.
-
These sound great. I'll be making them soon.

I've been gluten-free for a month. I'm not doing it for weight loss, but because I think I'm intolerant. I have lost 3 inches on my waist (and nothing on the scale). For what it's worth, you can eat out at restaurants without eating gluten if you seek out good choices (skip the buns for one example) and do your research.

The inability to have bread will get easier the more you do it. I don't even notice having a hamburger without a bun because I've been eating them that way for awhile. The more you do it, the more you won't feel the need for it.

I love mine! I went with the Zip because I have an iPhone4 and the Flex isn't compatible. As an added bonus, it was significantly cheaper. It helps me to push myself to move more and burn more calories. I definitely recommend it.

I felt like this too. But we're moving soon, so the unnecessary extra stuff has to go!

Woohoo, happy Canada Day!

So true. I like to see the number on the scale going down, but more than that, I like to see my clothes fit better (or get loose).
-
It's amazing how quickly changes are seen.
-
hah! you weren't meant to eat terribly even when you tried. At least it sounds like you had a good time anyway.
-
Weekly usually or monthly when I'm not losing.
-
Because it's none of your business what I eat. My friends.....I don't care if they see.

Hello. I'm starting this today. I usually struggle when restricting the foods I can eat, but I need to clean up my habits and force myself to eat better.

Welcome from a fellow Ontarian.
-
Exactly. A dietitian has specific training and at least in Canada it's regulated. A nutritionist, not so much.
-
Aw, congrats
-
It's been 2 months, I have not lost or gained anything.

I just got the zip last week. So far, I'm quite happy with it. I did my research and decided the Flex was not useful to me due to the lack of display. My iphone is too "old" and so I can't sync it thorughout the day. You can download a program to sync it to the computer, but I can't do that at work so it doesn't work for…

Lactose intolerance won't stop me from eating cheese. It's too tasty.
