All I can say is good luck, and keep me posted. I feel like I am reaching a plateau, so I may follow suit soon. I have been eating at 1000 net cals/day, which I KNOW is too low, but it has been working, so I didn't want to mess with it. I know at some point I'll reach a plateau, so when that happens I'll up my calories…

Count me in as addicted to the scale, today was the first day I haven't weigh in in months!!!! I decided to stick to once a week, on tuesdays (so the "damage" of the weekend is a little masked) cause the stupid scale is driving me insane. Or at least I wont track it Can't help to feel like the scale dictates my mood for…

Nobody??? Really???? I guess this proves my point!

Yes, you really have to!!!! ;)

Sign up for a race or set a goal for yourself, you'll feel so good when you accomplish it. And this is going to sound shallow but at the gym i am loving the reflection in the mirror, so i keep working to improve it even more ;)

I am in Katy Good job on your weight loss so far (although I secretly hate that is so easy for guys, LOL) and keep it up Are you just watching what you eat, or exercising as well?
-
I am a new cyclist as well, love it. Ultimate goal is to the an MS150 next year. Search for july cycling challenge, a little tread to keep us motivated to do more. Glad you are having fun on your bike ;)

Loving my truvia, I got used to it

Unless you have eaten 7*3500=24500 extra calories after you stopped atkins you couldnt have possibly gain that much Could it be water retention? My advice, keep watching what you are eating, track your calories, and mantain a small deficit until you see the scale stabilize, then up your calories slowly to where you are…

I dont think the scale automatically reflects what you did the day before .... Same as if you change your diet and eat better it might take a week or two for your body to react I decided to stop looking at the scale everyday, it drives me nuts! But ni, watermelon does not make you gain!!!!!!
-
I eat all of them back, if I am hungry .... but I don't eat just for the sake of eating
-
I would count it as one of those 6 meals, my protein shakes are almost 200 cals, thats a meal to me
-
Thanks for your reply, I guess this is really not for me then, as I don't want to give up the bike, or the goal I have set for myself. My husband lost about 25 lbs just training for the MS150 this year, without really watching his diet. Whoever says that you cannot lose weight while doing cardio has not met my husband…

I am sorry but you dont healthy, you may be eating healthier than before but there is lots of room for improvement. Try to eat the best and healthiest food, avoid processed foods, cut way down on sugar, cut carbs. You have gotten good advice here, be open to them. Sounds to me like you are making lots if excuses. And it…

you look like a movie star, like Tiffany Amber Thyesen ;) Just gorgeous, well done!!! And I do the same, I barely have any recent pics of me because I delete them, hopefully soon I'll get back to the other side of the camera ;)

Good job!!!! I think you look great now, but if you want to keep losing, go for it

I have the same problem, and I dont like to eat just for the sake of reaching that calorie goal. From what I have read, and this is not something I am applying, as long as you are above your BMR you should be ok. I do almonds and cashews as a snack, protein bars (I like pure protein brand) and protein shakes (I like the…

Got my ticker, see if it works

I am in, new to cycling, got a Scott Metrix 40, looooooove that thing!!!! Today I went on a 13 mile ride, avg speed is 11 mph. Ultimate goal is to do an MS150 next year, from Houston to Austin in 2 days ;) I like the idea of a ticker to track july's progress
-
you were beautiful before, but you look AMAZING now!!! I think you should totally tell that girl that she was your inspiration ;)
-
yeap, that sums it up nicely ;)
-
I think you have gotten good advice here, and yes, you have lost 7 lbs, not small feat and exercising lots and eating mostly healthy stuff, so you should pat yourself in the back, you are probably healthier than a lot of skinny people out there. My two cents, stick with it, even though its hard, even though the scale…

I don't know this is weird to me, I have lost 12-13 lbs, and I have dropped at least one pant size, and lost inches especially in my legs, which is my problem area. I am doing cardio and weight lifting
-
great job, you look amazing!!!!

Nice!!!!

Then how come I am losing weight steadily between 1.5-2 lbs/week????? I do appreciate the concern and suggestions, I really do, but like I said in my original post, I am aware that I am eating few calories, I am aware of the whole starvation mode, but this is working for me. I am on a medically supervised diet, they…

Sorry, just reading the title makes me want to puke
-
Feel free to look at my dairy for ideas, basiclly lots of lean meats and veggies

Mmmm, is that 100-%body fat? I am confused. I think i am about 26% fat, 50% water and 30+% muscle according to my scale. And i am seriously not trying to starve myself, i dont feel hungry, have tons of energy, and feel great overall, plus the lbs are coming off. Like said, its working, and for me its generally pretty…
