I know there were problems yesterday.. is it working for you today?
-
Is there a way to not have it sync with MFP if you are using a fitbit and have your fitbit synched? It seems like the two are included in the one app?
-
there were problems all day yesterday that could've been the cause

It sounds normal to me, 13000 steps for a sedentary person? that's going to give you a ton of extra calories for the day. I'm sedentary and I'm lucky if I do over 3000 steps in a day.

I posted this as an APP improvement post and someone has now overtaken it with a question that has nothing to do with my original post. Thanks a lot.
-
there have been synching issues with MFP and Fitbit since last night, that's probably the cause of your issue today.
-
I rarely use the apps either, problems started with the web. You are one of the lucky ones then if it is still synching for you correctly. I just checked my adjustment for the first time in about an hour and it has actually updated on its own. Maybe it is fixed?? Don't want to jinx it!

it always makes me feel better when I know there are others out there experiencing the same frustration as me :)

lol yea join the club. Hopefully it will just start working again, usually within a few days.i I found if I Unlink, sign out, relink, sign out, sign out again, sometimes that will force it to re-sync correctly, once. lol.
-
Has it synched again on its own since you did this? I did this exact same thing at least 15 times today, it only works initially to force one sync, but it doesn't continue automatically synching. I just followed these steps for the 9 millionth time today and it forced the sync. I'll bet another 9 million dollars it doesn't…

They should use two different apps with MFP though. Like I said, just because you may have the scale, doesn't mean you necessarily want it synching to MFP just because you have a Fitbit.
-
there is an issue with it since yesterday. Supposedly they are looking into it. https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Third-Party-Integrations/Calories-appear-high-after-syncing-with-MyFitnessPal/m-p/620910#M3611

He doesn't have it. My sister is a Special Ed teacher and is VERY familiar with Aspergers. If he had it, or she thought he had it, she would've said something to me a long long time ago.

Honestly, I came back and posted an update recently because I had completely forgotten about my original post and when I came across it, I thought it may interest some people to read an update. I didn't come back here looking for anything more really, just wanted to share some updates on new things he had said. Also, there…

are any of you getting a calorie adjustment throughout the day, and if so, is it correct?? I'm not getting a correct adjustment, even after unlinking, it gives me one, but it is wrong.

the solution for us, has been to laugh it off. Trust me, we are not miserable by any means. We now treat him like the joke that he is, and don't take anything he says seriously whatsoever. Sure, it still irks me when he says something rude, but not to the point where I feel the need to make it a bigger issue with anybody…

I didn't say that you said anything about us needing approval. I was just saying it myself. Addressing it with him really isn't an option. My sister would get very upset and it would cause a huge issue between us and the family, which isn't neccessary, because, as you said, there are bigger things to worry about and this…

It has actually become a running joke between my husband and I and our friends. We bet on what things he is going to insult when we see him and then joke about it afterwards. We've realized that he's never going to stop doing it - I honestly think he just has no social skills. My husband is actually really funny and always…

What exactly are we doing? The ONLY thing my husband and I have done about this, is spoken to each other. We haven't made it a big deal (or even mentioned it to my sister), and we haven't said anything to him. I've posted about it here for advice. So please tell me exactly how we are seeing his approval?? Because it pisses…

There have been a lot of posts and advice since my original post, and I've posted an update since then. However, I wanted to reply to some of these suggestions. I see my sister mostly when there are family functions - I can't, and don't expect or want my husband to not attend family functions because BIL is going to be…

It looks like a lot of people didn't see/read my latest update about the things he has done and said to both of us, not just my husband, since I originally posted this. They are now married, and we're stuck with him, but it hasn't gotten any better. If anything it is worse now, since it does it to me all the time too. It…

You're in for a treat, this happens every few months. I've had my fitbit for less than year and it has happened at least 6 times that I know of since then.
-
Last time, I disconnected the app from the web, then logged out of my MFP mobile app, logged back in, and I got an updated/correct Calorie Adjustment. It hasn't synched again since then, but at least that number was correct. Prior to that, after disconnecting, it was giving me a calorie adjustment that was wrong.
-
awesome, so we have to deal with this again for another week. The same thing happened back in early December and a few months before that, and a few months before that. I honestly don't believe it is because of the holidays.
-
My Fitbit stopped synching with MFP as of 10:39 pm last night. It was working totally fine until then. I have now tried disconnecting/reconnecting the apps as well as revoked acccess on Fitbit side and it still won't sync. This happens WAYYYYYY too frequently.
-
the same thing has been happening to me all week. Looking back at my log, it looks like every day, around 5:30pm, it stops automatically synching, so any food that I enter after that isn't synched to Fitbit, and I get no calorie adjustments from Fitbit after that time. The last time it synched after 5:30pm was on Sunday…

I'm not really that focused on how many calories I consume on Thanksgiving - I just plan to keep everything in moderation and contrl what I eat BEFORE Thursday and AFTER Thursday. As long as the overall week isn't bad, it won't be a problem.
-
Just drink it, force yourself.

while starvation mode may be a myth, you will more than likely hit a plateau if you don't eat enough, and then have to spend MONTHS and MONTHS trying to fix your metabolism in order to start losing weight again. I know this, because it happened to me.
