  • funny I came here looking for turkey burger suggestions because we LOVED the Philly Gourmet brand and now they are discontinued. I guess I will give Jennie-o a try. I've tried Butterball and Bubba brand in the past and I thought they were disgusting.
  • Not sure, I can look for it.
  • my fitbit stopped synching about 30 minutes ago. I'm not using the app, I sync online with my PC

  • I wear an HRM while doing my FitnessBlender workouts, and even though the HRM isn't entirely accurate for those types, my number burned is ALWAYS somewhere right in the middle of the range that FB says you should burn. Just go with the lowest number and you should be fine.
  • If you'd like to take this to Private messages, I'd be happy to try to help further. Unfortunately, you are getting some bogus information/advice here that is just confusing the subject even more.
  • WRONG. Walking the dog is part of his regular daily expenditure, he should eat the calories the fitbit is giving him for it. That is the WHOLE point of wearing a fitbit.
  • its in the app, but it isn't neccessary, ignore that advice.
  • Ok, so if it thinks you're going to burn 3606, and you want to lose 2lbs per week, you will probably end up eating around 2600 calories today: 2lbs per week = 1000 calorie deficit per day Calories expected to burn today: 3606 Calorie goal for today: 3606 minus 1000 = 2606 MFP thought you were going to burn 2799 today,…
  • I don't know about that, I have the Fitbit One, so its not worn on my wrist. I only get steps counted if I'm actually walking.

  • The food plan on the fitbit side means absolutely nothing, unless you are entering and tracking food on the fitbit app.
  • Easiest place to see this is if you log into your Fitbit App. You can see the calories burned each day. But you don't need to worry about checking it daily, because Fitbit automatically makes the adjustment for you. I would suggest checking it though after typical/normal day of activity for you. That will give you a…
  • Ok so you've already burned 2668 calories today and it expects you to burn 3606. What do you have MFP set to for your weight loss goal? 2 lbs per week?
  • You could be, it depends if you consistently burn the same amount of calories every day or not. If you have some days that are more active than others, then yes, you will eat more on those days, than on a day where you are more sedentary. That is what the fitbit is for. It makes the adjustments to your calorie goal, based…
  • Yes, the above couple posts are exactly what I was saying. Yes, the activity level you set on MFP has not effect on anything, aside from the fact you'll have a better/more accurate idea of how many calories you're allowed to eat in the beginning of the day, rather than getting giant adjustments like you are right now.…
  • Yes, that does make sense. You've already eaten 980 calories today and it wants you to eat another 1643 as of lunch time. That would be a total of 2623 for the day. BUT, as you continue burning more calories throughout the rest of the day, Fitbit is going to continue increasing the number of calories you have left to eat.…
  • Looks like the fitbit is giving you a pretty huge adjustment if its already adding 784 calories to your day and it is only lunch time. This means that based off your Fitbit activity and calorie goal you have set, you are going to burn much more calories for the day than originally expected by MFP. You can reduce this…
  • I just tried them, SO ADDICTED now. They are amazing.
  • packages of fresh chicken breasts do not have nutritional information listed on them.
  • I really hope that's true.. If it really is a school policy, it is ridiculous and shouldn't be allowed to exist. Can schools just go making up whatever policies they want, no matter how far over the edge they are? If it isn't a policy, I hope the teacher gets fired.. but she probably has tenure and nothing will be done.…
  • I'm sorry but since when does a school have the right to tell you what your kid can or cannot eat for lunch? I think some schools have a rule about nuts because of allergies (although I disagree with that as well- unless it is being shared with the class for a party, why should my kid not be able to bring something for…
  • don't use mayo. I make pasta salad with a fat free italian dressing - the dressing goes a long way so not too much is needed and it makes a ton of servings.
  • Your stats are very similar to mine, aside from age. I'm 36 y/o 5'2" 182 lbs deskjob work out 5 days a week - burn 200 to 300 each time I wear a fitbit, I have MFP set to sedentary and 1 lb/week weight loss goal. That gives me a calorie goal of around 1350 per day (which means my TDEE is around 1850). At first, I was…
  • absolutely not. You shouldn't measure peanut butter with a measuring spoon, it should be weighed in grams. Try it. Creamy foods like that should always be weighed because it is very easy to pack more into the measuring spoon or cup without even realizing it.
  • not very much protein in the Yoplait Whips, how much sugar is in those?
  • I wouldn't log it, its not going to keep you from losing weight unless you do that many times a day, every day of the week.
  • I don't log herbs, spices or vinegar.. because the calories in what I'm consuming are too miniscule. and I'm not going to sit there and measure out 1 tsp of vinegar. To me, that's just too obsessive. Little cheats here and there are definitely NOT what caused me to be overweight in the first place. I am overweight due to…
  • I don't bother logging tiny bites of things, I just try to stay under my daily calorie goal by around 100 calories to make up for anything I didn't log. I don't go snacking on nuts or any high calorie foods without logging them. But if I measure out one serving of crackers and then decide to eat one more cracker, I don't…
  • ughh a little to high too fit into my macros. I'll stick with the Fage 0%
  • ha funny you say that, I had been eating the yogurt with fruit on the bottom for awhile and recently changed to the plain greek with my own fruit. At first, I was like omg I can't eat this, a week later, I'm loving it!
