It's not different point of views the poster is having issue with, it's the rude know it all people who insist there way is the only right way! The great thing about this plan is that you can eat WHATEVER you want, as long as you can make the numbers fit into your over all daily plan! You want to eat all whole foods, home…

Don't a lot of us tend to do that when we are frustrated? Have you ever been trying to fix something and it's not going your way and you utter "This stupid thing isn't working right?" (or likely much harsher words). That's just one example but we pretty much all lash out from time to time when deeply frustrated. All the…

Yes, rudeness does not help anyone!! As for processed foods, ha, I'm not opening my diary to all of you people BUT I can tell you I lost my weight and have maintained goal for about 3 months so far eating Schwan's Chicken Pot Pies, Ice Cream most nights and TV dinners! I cook "real" food a couple times a MONTH! If I am…

Try this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00278FS8M/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00 A week and a half and I can seriously tell the difference! I have been at my "goal" weight for several months now but that gut still stuck out there. I got this DVD because I do a lot of walking and winter is coming. I needed an alternative to…

I thought the picture looked like rutabaga! Glad I read far enough to see that is what you were talking about. I LOVE rutabaga! I cook them with my roasts. Yum!!

I lost all my weight while eating 1/2 cup of regular (not low fat) ice cream 4 or 5 nights a week (9:30 or 10:00 p.m.). I make healthy choices throughout the day, go on several walks and am otherwise fairly active. If I have calories left, I'll eat. May not work for everyone but it has certainly worked for me!

I too am on Maintenance. How you approach it I think depends on if you have wiggle room to gain or loose a couple pounds as you figure it out. Personally, I 've never second guessed the numbers MFP gave me, and I'm doing okay. I've been on maintenance for a couple of months now. Some days, because I go on several good walk…

You lost a lot to start out (probably a lot of water weight), and now your body needs to rest. Plataeas are a normal part of weight loss. Do you use MFP on an app at all? The carb/fat/protein ratio shows up on a tab on the apps but it doesn't here. Roughly, you should be about 50-60% carbs, 25-30% fat and the rest protein…

A good article on Web MD (what I consider a good scientific source rather than a bunch of ideas and thoughts tossed out with no scientific backing as you asked for) http://www.webmd.com/food-recipes/features/carbohydrates Even in the science world, I'm sure you'll find conflicting data. When looking at scientific studies,…

I did not read all of the other advice but here is mine (may be a repeat of what's already here) 1) do NOT focus on weight, rather focus on health and small goals. 2) wear your fitbit all day w/o thinking about it, what is your normal activity? Customize your daily goals to slightly increase this activity. If you walked…
