I'm not an expert, but 1200 sounds super low to me with your degree of exercise. Particularly as a nursing mother. Sounds to me that you are eating substantially less then 1200 with those two issues factored in.

Oatmeal - 1/2 cup that I make with almost double the recommended water - I cook it a long time so it doubles in volume so I have a nice BIG bowl. I add 1 tbsp of naturally more peanut butter and either a half of banana or half of an apple. SOOOOOOOO good

Cancer does indeed suck, I am so sorry for your loss. Maybe it would help you a bit to try to be a compass for someone in your life who needs one now? Sort of carrying on your Dad's legacy?

I would try to impress the idea that is is NOT about eating less(ok, at least not totally about less) but eating BETTER. That you have to learn to embrace veggies as your friend - that some exercise is not optional. I would show her how to eat & what to eat/drik- looking back, my Mom did the best she could but her idea of…

Food won't help - totally the truth. In addition, if you turn to food - you will also feel bad that you did on top of all of your other issues. So many of us have "stuff" - I am very sorry you are having a bad time (specially with the daughter/ex issue - i can SO relate). Just try to stay focused on the many blessings you…

You look beautiful, congrats - it's an amazing accomplishment!

I think I would either have the Grilled Chicken Salad (probably half of it) with some fat free dressing - or get a grilled chicken breast(hold the sauce) and the mixed veggies

It was my bout with cancer all of last year that truly pushed me into sanity - Here I am, a survivor and I honestly felt that I HAD to get my eating *kitten* together - how irresponsible it would to waste the gift of health that I had been given. Congratulations to you for beating Mr. C and continued good health to us…

I started at the end of Aug, so roughly three months. I am not eating anything too crazy - LOTS of veggies/lean protein and trying to stay as low sodium as possible. Feel free to look over my diary. I also am doing a couch to 5k and starting yoga.

Dinner was FANTASTIC, I grilled 4 oz chicken strips with red & green peppers. Used a flat out light wrap and stuffed that puppy to bursting with fresh baby spinach, slimcado, tomatoes and some salsa..I was too full to even try to eat the broccoli. All that for way under 400 calories

I love sweet potato soup - that sounds fantastic

That sounds like the perfect Thanksgiving morning treat - thanks :)

I am not familiar with that recipe specifically, however, maybe you could use filo dough as a crust?

Spaghetti squash - you can have two full cups for only 84 calories TOTAL and 20g's of carbs. I use a half cup of Hunts Classic sauce (50 calories and 10g's of carbs) with 1/4 cup of Sargento Shredded Reduced fat Mozzarella Cheese (70 calories and only 1 g of carbs). Its my new favorite meal - I spread it all out on the…
