  • You are AMAZING!!!
  • Amen. My biggest exercise is horseback riding, and I HATE riding when it is below freezing, but with a new young horse to train I need to keep my butt in shape this year. No hibernation!!
  • Ditto X 10 on the Iron thing. I take a daily tablet and if I forget or run out, I'm in trouble. That said, I had my levels checked first by a MD and know that I am a bit anemic. I would try to get to your Dr and check iron, thyroid, vitamins and a general check up if you can. When I was hit by major fatigue 10 years ago, I…
  • For me, cutting sugar, even the sugar in fruit, helps a lot to flatten the belly. So does cutting "bad" carbs. Lots of good exercise with core work, tons of fresh veggies, fish and lean meat, drinking water, and you will have a flat belly in no time. You are already quite thin and it sounds like you just want to tone up-…
  • I'm sorry that happened to you! Like others I had a very similar thing happen- my dad had to basically carry me to the er (and I was 30 at the time!), It turned out that I tore a ligament. No fun at all! My only advice is get to a Dr, and in the meantime do nothing at all except lay down and use whatever means possible…
  • I know that they fairly high in calories, but the healthy monounsaturated fats, fiber, vitamins and other nutrients make it a really good addition to just about everyone's diet. If you are watching calories strictly, just stick to a smaller serving :)
  • PennStateChic- That sounds fabulous......
  • Oh my gosh, that sounds like heaven. I *love* saffron....
  • Jam!! Freezer jam is easy and fun, and making it the old fashioned way is a lot easier and more fun than you would think. You can get low sugar pectin which will gel with very little added sugar, or you can use sugar substitute. Plus, the jars look so pretty :flowerforyou:
  • http://www.titlenine.com/category/shop-womens-sportswear-by-activity/womens-swimwear.do?nType=1 I *love* this company- good coverage, beautiful fit, gorgeous fabrics and made for moving around in :) Love all of their stuff! Oh and they go to 40 DD
  • Me Too!! I live in NH, and my CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) has the most beautiful asparagus- so sweet it can be eaten raw. Love, love, love it! Fiddleheads are gorgeous as well :)
  • I cut it in half, remove the stone and cover the extra half as tightly as possible in shrink wrap right away. I store it cut side down in the fridge and it is good for a day.
  • I weigh myself every morning. I am trying to maintain a healthy weight, so I just want to make sure that there are no changes (up or down) or surprises :) When I was losing weight, I only hit the scale once or twice per week, otherwise I would get frustrated and not see progress quickly enough.
  • Kale chips with olive oil, pink salt and cumin. Ohh soo good!!! Greek yogurt with my homade, low sugar local blueberry preserves peanut butter protien shakes with chocolate and bananna (that's still healthy, right?) slow roasted root veggies- beets, kohlrabi, butternut squash, celery root... baby spinach Ok, going to find…
  • My was off the other day- the treadmill was picking up it's signal but my watch was not. I loosened my watch strap and it started receiving again :) Hope yours is an easy fix as well!
  • What I wouldn't give to join you in Dubai, at least for the next month or two! Do you like it there? I am in New Hampshire, looking out the window at the snow falling, which is adding to the 12 inches already on the ground. There is a drift in front of my barn that is higher than the door!! Can't beat the summers here…
  • I would contact their support team and ask for help. My experiences with them have been great- they have replaced mine very quickly when I had an issue and are always quick to answer any questions that I have. Hope you get it resolved- it really is a great motivator!
  • Another Fit Bit fan! I have had my Ultra for over a year and love it. Customer service is amazing- they replaced mine after I managed to crush it. I hike and love how it records flights of stairs- it was very cool to see what my stats were after climbing Mt Washington! It makes me want to push myself and go farther each…
  • Oh man. do I know where you are coming from (minus the evil sounding gallstones). I take pretty nasty meds for an autoimmune thing, and a lot of the time it is very hard to eat. I also lost too much weight. What helps me is exercising enough to get really hungry and eating little meals all day long. Greek yogurt always…
  • Our cat, Pras, is missing a couple of front teeth and now his tongue sticks out permanently. The cutest thing ever is when he lays on his back with his front legs stretched over his head in a "touchdown" pose with his tongue sticking out. Our menace cat, Bad Kitty, has been known to sniff out the hidden bag of catnip, bust…
  • To quit the drive through habit, I locked my purse in the trunk every time I drove. Worked like a charm!
  • I just.. can't. It's stupid. I love 2% fat Greek yogurt, cheese, ice cream, cream in my coffee, but I can not drink milk. Almond milk is the way to go for me.
  • Just got red and yellow beets from the CSA- roasted them with olive oil, salt and cumin. So good- even my picky 12 year old ate them up and asked for more!
  • Feeling weak and fainting is a good reason to get to the doctor asap! I wouldn't wait... Hope you feel better soon :)
  • When it is a cold, I find that working out actually makes me feel a lot better and my cold seems to go away a bit faster. I take lots of emergen c and a good probiotic as well, and those seem to help too. It could all be placebo effect, but it works for me! Hope you feel better soon :)
  • Soooo cute!!! I have two bunnys- they are best buds and so much fun. They are clean, don't smell, litter box trained, eat all the veggie scraps/peelings and create pretty good garden fertilizer. When they are not in their "house" (a horse stall in the barn fitted with nests and boxes to sleep and play in), they roam around…
  • I know it's over but this is too good not to share: Curried Pumpkin and Coconut milk soup 2 cans of 100% pumpkin 2 cans of coconut milk (you can use light) 4-6 cups broth (chicken or veggie) 2 shallots coconut oil 1 tablespoon of chopped lemongrass 1 inch (+ or -) minced ginger 1 + 1/2 limes juiced 3 tbl good quality curry…
  • I bet that most people (if they looked up from their machines long enough to notice you in the first place) would give you only respect and encouragement. We all start somewhere, and it is always the first steps that are the hardest and take the most courage. Join that gym, and rock it!!
  • Besides houses and cars.... My beautiful and much adored horse- a grey Swedish Warmblood mare. Also the saddle. And the bridle. Oh and her rugs. Also the vet bills. The boarding fees are up there too. Lol.... Worth every last penny
