I feel the same way. Years ago I hated cardio and would only do my little 5 minute warm up before lifting. Today I cycle, walk, and run and I love it mainly for the stress release and the social aspect. The calorie burn is nice, too. I'll do yoga from time to time, but I guess my goals have just changed over the years. I'm…

What a great story! You look great! Congratulations on all your hard work. I think it's great that you'll keep using the apps! I plan to do the same when I finally reach my goal. Congrats again!

Feel free to add me if you'd like (or just stalk, whatever you prefer). I eat almost everything, and while some days are pretty routine, I'm all over the place most of the time. Dinner for breakfast, breakfast for lunch...but I eat 3-5 times a day so my diary usually has a lot of items. :drinker:

Well stated and good advice! This is how I manage my drinking calories as well (except I haven't had Beck's Light and I don't do Jager anymore). Gin and soda or Vodka soda with lime=yum! You can do it! Just take baby steps!

I have an older Polar RS300X, but I still love it! It's probably not as cool as the FT4. I'm sure it's more cumbersome to use, as the "buttons" are difficult to push and the display is small (at least for my 40+ year old eyes), but I love it! I've had it since 2009 and I've only had to change the battery. The strap is…

I knew exactly what you meant, and I think it's great that you are beginning to have more awareness not just of where you've been, but of what you want to accomplish. When I am in line behind someone who is buying frozen this-that-or-the-other meal, along with chips and packaged, processed foods and soda, I remember the…

I'm really NOT one of those weird pet people who pamper my pets, but my dog is old (around 13-14 years) and was recently diagnosed with kidney failure. He quit eating any and all dog food (we tried 4 different types and brands, including the expensive Vet Rx for kidney problems) and so he couldn't take the medicine the…

I would agree. Sometimes it's better to go ahead and eat something healthy and filling, even if you go over.

Bump for my husband. :)

^^That is my all time FAVORITE quinoa recipe! Seriously delicious! The only thing I do differently is roast or grill the corn and add cumin. I also add red bell peppers if I have them. Tonight I made Quinoa Caprese Salad and it was really tasty! Red Quinoa Caprese Salad Ingredients -1/2C quinoa -8 oz fresh mozerella (I use…

Look at you! You look fantastic! Not just thinner, but years younger! Bravo!:drinker:

Holy cow! Those look amazing! Thanks!

My husband ate all my Popcorners one time, and when I went to buy more the store no longer stocked them. Believe me, it was not pretty! :explode:

I have been bloated all week and couldn't figure out why. I never thought about my protein powder. I just recently switched brands--so that must be it! When this Bio-chem is gone, I'm going back to my regular stuff!

That is awesome! Rock those thongs, girly!

I love men and I love food! So we're made for each other! :drinker: But seriously, I do love my guy friends on MFP because they're brutally honest sometimes, which I need, and they can take it when I'm brutally honest back. (Not that my MFP girls aren't or can't, but since you were asking about whether we minded having a…

^^That's how I like them, too. My husband loves the soft serve banana "ice cream." We get the smaller, organic ones. Even with the sugar content it still beats the fat and calories in ice cream!

You look fantastic! Congrats!:flowerforyou:

You look fantastic! Congratulations! :flowerforyou:

So now will they add "fidgeting" and "leg bouncing" to the exercise database? Might as well!

I have some friends who tried "swinging" back in the 90s. Suffice it to say that it didn't end well--on many levels. Sex is just sex until emotions creep in, or until someone gets a disease. ...

I used to know a woman from France who swore by the cold shower finish. She said it "tightened the skin."

^^^That sounds exactly like the bra I bought 2 years ago. Under Armor, zippered front, racer back. I was a 38DDD and bought an XL. I'm still wearing it even though I'm now a 34DDD, and it's still keeping the girls in control even when I jog or run. I've tried to go back to buy a Large now that I've lost the back fat, but…

I am nearing 45, which is unbelievable to me. I don't feel 45 (anymore)! At one time, before I found MFP and lost some more weight, I believe I felt much older than that. Good luck on your journey! Add me if you'd like!:drinker:

Congrats on quitting! That's a huge accomplishment! Only briefly was I actually a "smoker"--maybe 6 months. But I was a "social smoker" off and on for years. All that time I still called myself a non-smoker (denial?). I can't remember the last time I had a cigarette, but I can't promise I won't ever have another one, so…

Can't argue with that! Congratulations! You passed the 3 toughest tests!

My question is IS it working for you? (Forgive me if you already stated this--I didn't read every response). Are you losing 2lbs a week as you have set yourself up to do? Are you losing more than that? Less than that? If it's working as planned, I say why question it. If you're losing more or less than 2lbs a week, you may…

^^My thoughts exactly! Congratulations! You must be so proud of yourself! That's fantastic progress!

You are seriously amazing! I wish I had your energy and determination! Because of you though I am going to shoot for 10K burned this month. That's 1000 more than last month, so not sure I'll make it, but you've at least given me a new goal! :drinker:
