Got it this time! :) That is crazy the calorie difference between the sides because just from looking at them, they do look so similar!

It tells me there is an error when I click on the vid.

I'm almost 36. 5'8" and 150lbs right now. Used to always be 135 - for years and years. I know I'm not overweight by any means, but I just want to be back at my old normal.

Sorry to hear that. Headaches suck. It's hard explaining to people who don't suffer from them how it affects your daily life. Luckily, I went through a lot of physical therapy that have seemed to keep the tension headaches at bay. And thank god I have not had any more of the blood clot induced headaches. They were unlike…

I just entered my daily food for today, which is measured using my food containers. I was at 1397. So I'm a touch over the 1300. But the containers got me really close. I'll start tracking on here instead of the containers, but it seems I'm not super far off using them.

Ciara, I tried Topamax - NO WAY!! Lol! I couldn't function on it! I had high hopes b/c I thought it could help me get the weight off, but I have to function in daily life! LOL! I've heard lots of people who couldn't use it.

If you aren't losing, you're eating at your maintenance level. Have you set a calorie goal for yourself yet? [/quote] I should be hitting about 1300 calories a day.

This is good to know!!!!!

I will have to plug my normal food intake on here and see how many calories that I am eating. I kind of use 21 day fix containers so I don't have to bother with all of the daily tracking, and I use the containers in such a way that I should be at a deficit. While I do understand what your are saying about medicine changing…

My sister had the sleeve surgery about a year ago. She was about your weight and height, too. Maybe not so many medical issues, but the doctor said that she would likely get them if she continued on her path. After the surgery she has lost a lot of weight, I think around 80 pounds or so. She now has horrible heartburn and…

I suppose I should have worded that "I can't snack/drink junk things as much as I have in recent times." Of course I am not saying I am not "going to have a snack again as long as I live!" I think that is pretty idiotic to think that. It's totally not what I meant at all. Sorry for not being more clear. To be honest, I am…

I'll give you a little more of the story of why I decided to pick this program. Prior to this, I did not exercise at all, except for chasing the small kids around the house. I have a full time sedentary desk job. I ate two fairly healthy meals a day. Breakfast has always been a downfall for me - I'm never hungry then and…

I kind of feel like the way the food is set up on the fix should be sustainable...I feel like I eat way more at breakfast than normal. Lunch and dinner are also quite a bit of food. All healthy. I just can't snack/drink junk things. Whether I'm following 21 day fix or tracking calories on MFP, that is going to have to stop…

Haha - yes, I don't usually get too riled up about things. When you come somewhere for advice, and advice is given, what good does getting mad do? That's what you came for in the first place!! ;) I think since I've been on the medicine I might eat a little bit more than I used to, not a ton, but it does add up. And while I…

Yes, you are right. I probably should get on the logging bandwagon. Nothing makes you more aware of your eating habits than having to write every little last thing down.

I'm on amitriptyline. It's actually an antidepressant, but I take it because I have severe headaches. For some reason it works for headaches as well.
-
Haha - I just wrote a post on weight gain w/ meds and then saw this. Not a lot of advice, but you have my sympathy b/c I'm in the same boat. I take Elavil for major headache issues. Even thought I'm taking it for headaches, Elavil is actually an antidepressant, too. I've gained 10lbs since I've been on it and it's making…

Haha - love the crappie day thing. Yes, vacation is in order, but it won't be here until mid-June. I think we are going to do Gatlinburg/cabin/Smokies.

Thanks for replying back guys! The person who ran my first challenge ended up letting me join for free into her April group. So I think I'll do another round with that group, and then possibly start my own once it is over. I'll post back in another few weeks. Good luck with your fix! I ended up losing just under 5 pounds…

Thanks Firefly! Up above I wrote out the schedule of exercises each day for 21 day fix. That lower body day...has me sweating worse than either of the cardio days!!! LOL! Definitely are using the major muscles on that one!! Big Lifter - I'm glad you mentioned walking and running, b/c I really feel like when I did a lot…

Sushi - I doubt I am one to lose it fast from the thighs either! That would be way to easy...lol! :(
-
Dawnie - I feel like pregnancy increased the size of my thighs as well. I feel like my whole pelvis changed, so I'm not sure I'll ever be exactly the same (which is fine), but I sure would like to lose the extra padding on my thighs. Then whatever will be will be. Then, in November I was put on medication for headaches,…

Bummer. I guess I didn't realize that there weren't certain types of exercise that may give you a boost in one area over another. So, for example, if you are doing ab work - crunches, etc - the ab muscles would be specifically targeted and strengthened, but the fat you burn working out on your abs would just come off from…

I should have added, I could wait and start it up on April 13th, if somebody is planning on ordering the program and needs the time to receive it in the mail. And once again, I'm not a coach or anything.

Yep, it's Beachbody. The exercise program with the system is set up so you are exercising every day. Each day is different. Cardio one day, upper, lower, pilates, more cardio, "dirty 30", then yoga. The "rest" day is the yoga day. If I feel like I'm unable to do something, I just follow the modifier or take a quick break…

My husband and I just started it on Monday. We have 2 small children, live on a family farm, have after school activities and I work full time. So far, I have been able to fit it in just fine. If you eat fairly healthy already, you can probably just make sure to use the containers for portion control/measuring. If not, the…

Getting back to it, and love reading these!

Thank you!

Interesting and a nice perspective! Maybe I should give that a shot. Dinner is definitely my main thing for the day. But I do snack in the evenings, I often wonder if it is just my body's way of telling me I didn't get enough during the day.

Thanks so much, bonniejo!
