My best guy friend used to live in Madison. That probably doesn't help you very much :) But good luck on your weight loss!

I found that if I ate back all the calories I burned I didn't lose. Try eating half back. If you need them. Some days I'm full and my exercise calories are just "bonus" calories. Each is different.

1. Do you have any, and if so, HOW many? I currently have one. I want another one when I'm finished our family. I want the sun/moon/star image my husband and I made for our wedding invites. Then I want my sons name and then our second childs name. But my husband hates tattoos so I doubt I'll get it. 2. When did you get…

I'm 5'4" and I'm thinking 120. I'm gonna see how I feel at 130. But I think I want to lose more. (I'm only 8 lbs away from that mark!)

Grade 5 was the first time I heard the end of the world was coming. Before my birthday! It's now 16 years later? And somehow I'm still here. People want others to panic and buy into their crap. Tell ya what -if the world self destructs and there is fire everywhere and blah blah blah? 10 cases of water is NOT going to help.…

I was 25 when my son was born. We had been trying for a year before I finally became pregnant. Now we're waiting for a little bit for baby number 2 :D

I delete people who haven't logged on for 4 or 5 months. I figure if they haven't logged in in that amount of time - I'm not going to miss them if they do decide to log. The only other reason I would unfriend someone on here is if they were being preachy instead of helpful, or if they weren't a positive influence for me.…

My Mom used to take me out when I was younger all the time! She went for long walks too! Just, had me wrapped warm with some extra blankets (while I was young). The really really cold days she stayed in - but the cold days to me now, I was out in the snow walking. Go with the kids at school - if recess is cancelled - walks…

I watched my calories and any exercise I did do I stopped counting. I was eating back the calories I burned and I usually gained. Most people say you can eat back 1/2 the calories. As a precaution, I just stopped using calories burned for eating. Walking is a great start for exercise and it'll just help you feel better to…

lol. I'm a very shy person. I had blankets and jackets and whatever I could find around me and I tried to schedule an outing around my sons feeding schedule. I had a lady come up to me saying she thought it was ridiculous I had to cover up while feeding. I told her that personally it made me uncomfortable to be "exposed"…

I always get a hard time because I don't like them but everything they do seems so nice to the outside world. I feel suffocated by them at times. And I hate the fact we see them ALL THE TIME! If we have three weeks where we don't see each other, they (my husband, MIL) get all clingy and whiny that we don't see each other.…

I've seen both. I did mine before -- around 8 months. I didn't feel comfortable with so many people passing around my small baby. Also, the last baby shower I went to was a double one with my SIL and a friend of hers and her friend was clearly struggling with postpartum depression. It was very uncomfortable. Ultimately…

I am 5'4" and I'm still deciding! I have my ultimate goal weight as 120. But I may not want to go that far. I'm going to get to 130 and see how I feel.

I'm not totally sure of the specifics of this case. It wasn't something that I totally cared about so I just read the headline and went on my day. If you are a large person, it hurts your feelings being told that. I think no matter who you are, secretly you want to lose weight. You either just have the wrong frame or you…

I'm not sure if it counts as a website. But I like stumble upon. Possibly one word? Randomly generates websites based on your interests. It's pretty neat. Google+. MFP of course. And after that, tribesports.

Wow! That is incredible!!! That is so great to see and very inspiring. Good for you!

10 lbs for me. Although I've lost another 10 lbs and no one has said anything. So maybe it was just my initial jump that made people notice lol

Heaviest: 162.2 lbs Lightest: 110 lbs Now: 144 lbs Goal: At least 130 but hopefully down to 120 lbs

Congrats!!! I just hit the healthy bmi range -- now to keep going down to my ideal weight!

Good luck! My parents also have everything so I either got them nothing or sometimes we as a family went together and bought them a big present (ie: they needed a new tv so we bought them one). Thankfully we now have a little guy so I use Shutterfly and make her a photo book all about my son. She LOVES it.

I'm with a small work out group -- not a gym. We have found that if we eat back half of the calories burned, then we lose weight. We either maintain or gain if we eat back all of our calories. Good luck!

That is so wonderful!!!! Great job and good luck with the rest of your mini goals.

I'm currently staying with my MIL which is an annoyance itself (quickly solving that issue) BUT ,. . . . .she keeps bringing her other grandson over when its my sons nap time. The kid runs around and makes noise and wakes up my son!!! And my son DOES NOT wake up happy. Seriously -- you know when nap time is . . . . keep…

I figured it out by mini goals. And yes, it seemed like forever. Then I just thought that it's taken me 8 years to put this weight on, if it takes me 1 yr to take off, that's not bad. I also try to mainly focus on what I've lost instead of how far to go. For me, I've just hit the mini goal of losing my pregnancy weight.…

I think of the sweet sweet high I get from stepping on that scale and seeing a better number than the week before.

Today I am thankful for: - Having 2 bills and 2 cheques appear in my mail. The cheques and the bills are the same amount. Yay for cheques cancelling out the bills. (kinda) - Realizing today that when I go grocery shopping I only go to the produce section, the fake meat section, the milk section, and the cheese/eggs…

Today I am grateful for nel and mfp. They kinda work together. 70 days later and 15 lbs lighter. I couldn't have done it without you all! I am grateful for heavy laundry baskets that I have to carry up a lot of stairs. I know I've shed at least 2 calories doing that lol. And I am very grateful that my parents who are older…

I try and do this frequently for a while now for personal reasons. But, I could see how it would fit in quite nicely for thinking positive and helping in some way with weight loss. Today I am thankful for: My husband selling some of his personal items which will help cover the cost of fixing our bathroom (after which we…

Clever!! My name is Kristy. :D I am 26 years old and am the mother to a (almost) 11 month old baby boy. I am married - 4 yrs in July - but we've been together for about 7.5 yrs. I am originally from Saskatchewan but my husband dragged me this way so we call Winnipeg home now. My husband is from Winnipeg. I am a stay at…

When you're breastfeeding you don't want to lose too much weight. You should look into how much is "safe" to lose. However, if you eat healthy and drink lots of water, it's easy to lose the pregnancy weight.
