I'll update and post the chart. I'll have each of you post the data each weekend in a simple format that's easy to find.

BTW.. we still have room for a few more if anyone is interested. I thought someone would pick up on the 2010 Space Odyssey thing too, guess I'm the only sci-fi dork   It was a classic movie in 1958 depicting life in 2010, and HAL was the robot. Since we have actually hit 2010 now, I thought it would be funny.

It's my biggest vice, midnight snacks (usually unhealthy too). So, I threw it in there just for added accountability, mostly for me. Does anyone else struggle with this? I'll use this as a time to survey what everyone thinks about this latest layout (side by side). Maybe a good way to approach this is for each person to…

I am testing a few different chart layouts, but trying to get it just right. It's tricky to figure the right way to create an image file that is optimized for the MFP window. No worries, I am persistant.

Gantt charts mean run, run far, and fast, and never look back    . Nah, they are a visual chart to show schedule sequencing and durations, work stuff. I won't pull them on ya    I manage an R&D project so I use Gantt charts all the time, yeeeaaawwh.

You bet Sherry, we've got room Thanks makeitallsue, I appreciate the kind remarks and think you'll love doing a 1/2. Like I said before it's a great distance to train and race. WoW, just finished the P90X chest and back and whew it's tough. I am doing a few workouts prior to the "official" start on Jan 1. I want to get…

Welcome Vhuber. I really like P90X, even thought I still really suck at push ups and pull-ups. I did it this summer and was impressed at the results. It does work which is cool. I don't rock, trust me. I've done alot of stuff, but don't let it get to my head. Only to convey I have tons of experience in the field and…

Nichole, and all you runners I want to find a way to get that into our weekly tracking too. I just need to get a table organized to make it easy, and flexible for each of us. Give me a few weeks to draft something up, I am pretty good at tracking stuff. Those are great goals too Nichole. I think the 10 mile to 1/2 marathon…

Wow, great job on the 37lbs. That really is amazing. Welcome aboard! Running is so great, it really sucks at first. Then, before you know it, you have a hobby and not just a workout you force yourself to do. OK.... a little about me. I am a 37 year old who has had the ups and downs of weight. I am happily married for 18+…

Welcome Nichole, I've seen you popping in on the MFP runners club board too. This is a great place for some running goals. Sure we can form some rules…. > Post weekly weigh-in on Saturday, and I'll leave the averaging as a personal choice > WEEKLY POSTING, I want something simple, easy to track, and will make us conscience…

Excellent, up to 5 now. Assuming I can count, which I'll prove I can't do very well

Stormchaser, I think Saturday is fine. I also recommend we do a Fri, Sat, Sun weigh in and average them, weigh-in first thing in the AM, and average them togethor. The scale is evil and will quickly sap our motivation if we let it. Iplay, I am so glad you are here. I've read some of your posts and like your humor and…

I am starting P90X in January. It's a great system and will yield results. HOWEVER, results don't stay without some work   I did it this summer and loved the change. Hi Skywalker, it's been awhile since I've posted on the cycling board. Planning a good snowy ride on Saturday, no reason to stop for that…

Up to 3 now, anyone else interested?

Cool, welcome!

Hey homies, I'll join the club. Gr8dad, that late night binge eating has wrecked my cal limits on many occasions. About me, I am Man, I run, I want to run farther. Raymond

I re-read your question, and may not have entirely answered it. Sorry. I think you should train for a time target, it's key to settle on a pace for training runs. The training runs should be slow, really slow. It's about "time on feet" in my mind. I think the 4:30 is spot-on perfect for target. If you feel good race day,…

Excellent question, and I get it from ALL the marathon newbies. Goals are great in life, but the first marathon it's simple.... finish. Keep it simple, and let you surprise yourself. I've seen 2 basic outcomes in first marathon experiences. 1) Mile ~20, the newbie is running out of steam, and just needs to walk a little.…
-
I'll be running one this spring too, but it may be a 50k....but who's really keeping score after 20 miles? If it's a newbies group, I won't be a great fit. But if you want some advice I CAN help. I've done 13 marathons and tons of other crazy endurance stuff so I've experienced all the ups & downs of running. Feel free to…

Do you want me to go out a pick a fight? The horns are still cranking. How do I say shut-up in in a good Irish slang   .
-
:flowerforyou: Sorry
-
OK, that too.
-
OK, GO IRELAND. AArghh, that was close.
-
Can these &**$(% keep the ball in the lines. What the $$%#. Score someone you $**%
-
Thanks, I always do. it's a great place to visit. I come to the Alps for work about 4-5x per year. Grenoble to be precise. Need to get to Ireland too. It's on my bucket list.
-
Ya know... I have to work with the French tomorrow. Not sure how I want this to go? :noway: :noway: I should have been watching so I could appreciate the syncronized horns and yelling. Then duh, why don't they put the ball in the net. They were right THERE
-
Thank you, it all makes sense now. I am in France now and hear nothing but honking and screaming outside my hotel. I thought it was a riot.... DUH, it's only futbal Crazies

This stuff crack's me up, and a little sick too. I've been out of gym's for a long time and thankfully so. It seems a bit intense..... A word or two about intense gym peeve's.....I think everyone needs to do some gym time with the college football team. There's something about making a cocktail with roid rage, ego boost,…
