this works! If they are clean and safe, set a goal for 50 or more flights and go for it. You will be a sweaty mess and plenty sore too. Good luck!

Mostly a tag to keep track of the topic. at first glance, it seems great to me. We have an Ipad already so this is a supplemental device. The size is good for traveling and interested in the streaming content on Amazon. Overall, if it has a way to hook up to a TV it will likely be in our house by the holidays.

** applause ** Mike and all, THANK YOU for the site and taking some control back. MFP was starting to become a social experiment, with some grade school humor and antics, and I can't be happier to see you taking back some control. I know it is tough, and you'll have all kinds of tugs and pulls, but stay your course my…

Nice call on the 69 Mach I, or, I would go for the BOSS 429.... ooh la la.

2nd that motion….. knowledge = knowledge knowledge + application = wisdom wisdom + consistent application = results We can all get knowledge from others, and their experience, however, you have to put it in motion, learn what works on you, adapt, and repeat until you get the results.

I completely stopped using MFP for tracking cals.... just don't trust it [but love MFP] No judgement needed on me, but offer what I do. I set a ~2000 cal threshold as maintenance cals, what keeps me alive. I decide to add supplemental energy to support workouts, and it's an energy in, energy out equation. If I am going for…

We need an MFP survey monkey thing.... who's keeping the stats??? NO for me, and I've been doing this long enough to know that's what works for me when trying to reduce fat. OK.....everyone want a little secret????? 1lb of body fat = 3500 calories When trying to reduce fat, I target about 1.5 lbs per week, which is ~700…

OK... if the personality, brains, confidence, smile, and all that jazz are up to par... I like tall (like 5'9 or more), generally slender, clean, thoughtful attire, and the curves discussion really doesn't matter.....at least to me. If I can offer some advice..... be confident in YOU, that's the major part. The media or any…

I never respond to these.... be gentle There is no face, body, buns, or booty that compensate for a b*tchy personality. The starting point is a warm smile and sense of humor, everything can start to look great from there.

There is no reason to be intimidated, or feel out of place, but simply go forward. GOOD LUCK on the 5k! *caution* they can be addictive as my good bud Jilly Bean will tell you..... We all start with a first step and a ton of heart, so keep at it and you can surprise yourself with where it will go. I was a total non-runner,…

Richard Simmons made a career of it.....mewhahaha. Log it! Keep on flailing.... If you do play some Richard Simmons archives to flail along to.... leg warmers are completely optional!!!!!

Call me the dude that shows up to a maternity party....   My wife ran to term with our 2 children, and they turned out great (dad's another question...haha). She's been running many years and the pace slowed down and eventually some walking too, but.....WOW, what can ya say! This made post maternity…

+1 on this reply. I am a "dropper" too. Works great, but takes some planning. I have found the planned stops to be encouraging, and will often plant gels, a granola bar, sharkies...... sometimes fresh socks!!! haha.

CONGRATS! That's great progress.

Congrats on the ½ and this adventure they call running!!! Never loose sight of the simplicity of running. Find some time, some goals, put on shoes/tech-wear and GO FORWARD. Some things not heavily mentioned here yet [although not all apply to the Texans] 1) running vest is critical for us northerns! 2) vaseline [or body…

OH YES it does! I got my fixie in Feb this year, and starting riding her in the April time frame. I was very intimidated at first, it was unnatural. After a few short rides in town I finally got confident to venture out a bit, and now it is one of my favorite rides. The main things..... > Hard to clip in, pedals are in…

Following the lead, to lead with my bike as the profile pic. It's my Madison fixie, not a single piece of carbon on her, love it. I have a couple other bike pics on my profile...my road bike, a Trek 5000, GF Erwin I built into a monster cross with 29er wheels. It's 100% badass. I use the GF for long bouts of gravel and…

Doh! That's a heck-of-a chain dump! Don't see that very often. cloggsy71, that's a nice looking ride! The Ritchey wheelset looks great too.

classic! How to come back on that....

Good call! I totally agree on the team issue bike, they are very seasonal, especially plaid. Don't want that label!!! Why a fixie..... Well, I took my road bike out last night after doing a lot of training on my fixie this year, let me say woohoo was it fun! My two mid week rides were on the fixie, with absolutely no…

That is cycling, pick your favorite and it makes good drama. No matter if it's Lance, Cipollini, Boonen, Voigt, that famed pirate, Hincapie, whoever, they are all in spandex and whether they are heroes or villains is mere perspective.

My feeling has nothing to do with LA, or how he interviews, with or without helium. It has everything to do with how you see Andy have a mechanical and you take off up the climb, or you have to "steal" a victory from a teammate at the line, who is not a GC contender... and can't give him that simple luxury of a stage win.…

I am 100% in the ABC club!!!! Dope or no Dope.... he is still a jerk.... I'll pick anyone but him, heck, even Alexander Vinokourov, one of the legendary dopers.... go Andy!!!!

Loved that flick too, and unfortunately it does not make the replay list for mainstream cable. Yes, I totally missed that news, shocking indeed. Cervelo is a sweet ride too!!! Tour time coming up!!! Andy Schleck....go, go, go

My mistake... sorry, that may be a bit more bike than you were considering [I read the other pages and it's a bit much], personally the Felt F95 I think is a great bike per specs and looks awesome too. Sorry about that..... I am not a "my bike is nicer than yours" sorta person, although I still would love the Chronus…
