  • You go to the doctor for your checkup and find out that your cholesterol is 165 and blood pressure is 110/78. He then tells you that if you continue at your pace you will be able to shed your meds by October. 10 years I have been on these pills. Thank You MFP.
  • Your neighbor calls you to tell you that a man with baggy pants is taking things out of your garage. You both crack up when realization sets in that she didn't recognize you because you have lost so much weight. What an ego boost that was.
  • I do this alot. I can always erase the items if I don't eat them. It feels good to delete an item that you talked yourself out of.
  • I told myself the same thing for the last five years. Do whatever it takes to lose ten pounds. You will feel so different and good about yourself that you will want that next ten. You need small goals. If I can do it you can too. We are all there for you.
  • Those shirts that the dryer shrunk in length miraculously tuck into your pants now. You can get on an airplane and not worry about being"that fat guy that took up a seat and a half" You can ride a rollercoaster without requiring two park attendants to wedge you into the harness I can't believe I actually lived like that…
  • Met mine last week. Awesome feeling. I was able to keep myself from celebrating with food which I told myself I could have once my goal was reached. Congrats.
  • I couldn't find my starting weight but I weighed in this morning and am 278. Finally over the first hurdle(mini goal) of 30 lbs. Tonight I am going to celebrate with Papa Murphys Delite Pizza and Miller 64 beer. 2 slices and 4 beers ring in a total of 656 calories and I don't feel like I am compromising a bit because it is…

  • Holiday weekends suck(for a diet). Every time I turned around someone was offering me food or drink. I managed to eat beef only once this weekend but my beer consumption was off the charts. I drank the Miller 64 and I really think it is going to help me to stay in line. I ate pretty well and only had one dessert. I did…

  • Welcome. I have been a member for two weeks now and have loved every minute of it. I have exceeded the exercise minimums, lost twelve pounds(i have plenty to lose so I knew it would start off with a bang), turned down beers and desserts that I never would have before and have felt great every day I have been on the site. I…
  • I am new to the site as of last Monday. The first week was good and week two is starting strong. I will wait until the end of week two to set my May goal but I imagine it being 3 pounds per week. I have a lot to lose so the first tens of pounds will come off easier. Hopefully this challenge will keep me interested in the…

  • I am a 41 year old traveling salesman that has gained five pounds per year religiously for the last 21 years. I am tired of carrying this sack of cement above my beltline. I am relatively healthy still and want to keep it that way. I would love to rid myself of blood pressure and triglyceride medicine. I would like to hear…
