Good for her for learning how to love herself. And, you know, it really isn't the size that matters *chuckle*. If she truly is happier where she is at then that's fantastic. I hope she is healthy and active and loving life, even if she isn't a size 6.

The base kit is $70-ish and the deluxe is $135-ish. I'm going to do some of what everyone above has suggested, but keep this on the back burner for now. Thanks all of you who gave meaningful advice. :)

Did you get the base kit or the deluxe?

I have an old knee injury, so lots of squats cause considerable pain. This is why I'm looking into something that shows me multiple types of bootie exercises - not JUST squats.

I travel a lot for work and here are some of my go-to's: protein shakes with berries, peanut butter sandwiches on whole wheat, baggies of munchable veggies, premade salads with dressing on the side you can add later, and bananas (cause they're just easy).

This exactly! When I first started MFP, I had to completely plan out my meals the night before, to make sure I could stay under my calorie goal. If I knew I was having a big dinner, I adjusted my breakfast and lunch accordingly. Or, I could add an extra 15 minutes to my workout. I even pre-logged my workouts so I could…

I'm going snowshoeing as soon as I'm off work. We've got about 12-15" of fresh powder in the woods. Can't wait!

I have no clue what IIFYM really means, and I don't particularly care. I do cardio, I lift, and I eat. I'm 5'11", weigh 163 and would like to lose another 8-10 lbs by summer. But, I if I just get more muscular and keep some of those 8-10 lbs I'm okay with that too. I eat pretty healthy, but I generally eat what I want when…

I will not log on Christmas, just as I didn't log on Thanksgiving. I will enjoy the food, and focus on family and friends and not how many calories each and every little bite is. That's not what is important to me tomorrow. But, I will try to get a good workout in to offset the extra I know I'll consume. After all this…

^^^^ You worded this absolutely perfectly! I'm great in the basement and could stay down there indefinitely, but once I hit the stairs all the hair on the back of my neck stands up.

Ba-hahahahaha! Totally agree!

I'm 5'11" and all my height is in my legs... and yes, I know I've copied some of these. * Low shower heads. * Severe anxiety about getting stuck in those little cars at amusement parks. * Sleeves too short, pants too short. * Having to schooch down in dressing rooms because the doors/curtains only come up to my chest. *…

I'm 5'11" and my husband of 12 years is 5'7". Our height difference doesn't matter to me, and seeing as how he pursued me, it doesn't matter that I "tower" over him either. He'd laugh if he saw this thread. Why is height such a concern? Ladies - What if you fall in love w/ a 6'6" guy and he someone how loses the use of his…

Pick up an Athleta catalogue, open it, and choose any of their models. That's what I aspire to look like. Lean and strong.

^^^ THIS! I typically work out every day, and miss it when I can't. I look forward to my sweat-fests. I think the OP might be asking more about time constraints though? My schedule over the next 3 weeks is ridiculously busy, and I know I'll only be able to get in 2-3 workouts each week, but I hope they'll be good tough…

1200 calories per day is the lowest MFP will recommend, period. So, your 2 lbs per week goal was at 1200 because it's just not healthy to try to eat less than that. Maybe you could set your goal at 1/2 lb per week and see if that is easier for you to reach. Remember to think long term. 1/2 lb a week is awesome and is a…

FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC! Congrats to you!!!!!!

Congratulations! You look so happy - you are just glowing! Keep it up!

I'm also headed out of town this weekend to Christmas shop with my sisters and I don't plan to log my walking or my food. I know I won't eat as healthy as I usually do, and I'm sure I'll have a few drinks with them tomorrow night. I'm also positive that all the walking over the next two days will cancel out my unhealthy…

Popcorn. Hands down popcorn. I just like to munch. I can do without the chocolate and the sweets, but I need crunchy and salty.

I love this!

A MFP friend did T25 and had awesome results, and now she's doing Gamma. She really likes it. And, I'm requesting it for my bday in a few months!

Hey - do you all play basketball????? JK. I'm 5'11" and just like reading all the tall girl stuff. I joke that I'd be Trumping if I had a dollar for everytime some stranger has looked me up and down and asked me if I play(ed) basketball.

Am I the only woman who will admit to wearing big ole comfy granny panties when I work out? They just need to stay where they're supposed to stay. My normal cute/sexy girly panties wouldn't cut it for the high intensity workouts I do. Granted, I do workout at home, so my nether regions looking cute in spandex isn't really…

Yes, it's a 22 pistol and I was target practicing w/ my husband. The article just made me smile. I don't necessarily agree w/ all of it (six sticks of butter is a little much), but the gist of it reminds me to be careful of what I may or may not be subconsciously teaching my kiddos.

^^^ This is why I don't ever post things like this. The point of the reprint was to be motivational and to encourage people to focus on leading a healthy and happy lifestyle, and to not just focus on weight. As far as I'm concerned, how much my 11 year old daughter weighs is absolutely a taboo topic, and it will continue…

What an accomplishment! Well done!

Running is more efficient than walking, if you're looking at it from a time perspective. I'm with everyone else that says just give it some time. I've always HATED running. I'd much rather walk, lift, do TF, circuit training, HIIT's, etc, but, I sucked it up and made myself run this past summer to train for a my 1st race…
